Tanzania's First

I recently had the pleasure of watching the groundbreaking Tanzanian science fiction film "EONII," and I must say, it was an absolute triumph in the genre. This movie effortlessly transported me to the bleak technological future universe filled with excitement, violence and thought-provoking concepts.

One of the standout features of "EONII" is its visually stunning cinematography. This is the 1st Sci-Fi film made in Tanzania, by Tanzanians. The special effects were nothing short of spectacular, creating breathtaking futuristic cityscapes, and outstandig action sequences that left me in awe. The attention to detail in the visual effects truly elevated the film, making it a feast for the eyes from start to finish.

The storytelling in "EONII" is equally commendable. The narrative seamlessly weaves together elements of politics, revenge, mystery, and human connection, all set against the backdrop of a richly imagined sci-fi world. The characters are well-developed, and their journeys are both compelling and relatable, making it easy for the audience to emotionally invest in their fates.

In conclusion, "EONII" is a must-see for science fiction enthusiasts and casual moviegoers alike. With its captivating visuals, storyline, and thought-provoking themes, this film sets a new standard for the genre for Tanzanian film makers.

Plotless, wooden, derivative drivel

I've seen and loved District 9, for example, and other similar films ; Eonii is frankly, embarrassing compared with its competition. The effects are not, as one reviewer put it ,"visually stunning", they are outdated and sometimes, honestly, amateurish.

The plot is completely banal, and without interest. There's no twist, no finale, nothing to get excited about. There are points in the story, where you find yourself asking; "what just happened?", "why did they do that?" or "that doesn't make any sense at all!"

Finally, the acting is unbelievably wooden. I didn't feel for anyone, or connect with any one character.

Dire..
