- Edurne Pasaban embarks on a new journey with the aim of raising awareness of the situation that is being experienced in the dry corridor area of Guatemala, a region 1,600 kilometers long and between 100 and 400 wide, which brings together 90 % of the population of Central America. It is one of the regions of the world where the extreme weather crises caused by climate change are most palpable. Added to this situation is that during the rainy season the land does not drain and the water destroys everything in its path. The towns are devastated and the houses buried in mud. The exodus is inevitable. People inevitably flee to the north with the sole objective of surviving, venturing on a migratory journey that entails numerous risks. Edurne will enter the most affected areas of the Guatemalan jungle with the aim of giving visibility to the thousands of families who suffer the risks caused by the dry corridor.
