In the wake of a murder on campus, the line between free speech and hate speech at a university is examined. Meanwhile, Detective Jalen Shaw is still getting used to working with his new partner Detective Vincent Riley.
Shaw has a new partner Vincent Riley and they investigate the murder of a university president. They learn the man took a firm stanc3 of freedom of speech which made him controversial. They discover he opposed the actions of students who protested Israel's stance against Palestine. They go to to talk to the students but a member of the faculty tells them to leave.Shaw notices something that helps them identify the killer a student. They arrest him and he is tried.
