David & Shana Brenion are balloon artists, known around the world as Nifty Balloons.
Shana Brenion (Emily) was a frequent customer to Petite Reve Cafe, and early on in the writing stages of the film both Jonathon McGee and Camille Reynolds visualized Shana as the lead. One afternoon while Camille Reynolds was working at the Cafe, and four weeks before production, Shana Brenion came in for coffee with her husband, David Brenion. Camille seized the opportunity and asked if they were interested, and both immediately jumped on board.
Taggart Lee (Director of Photography) was Jonathon McGee's high school ASB Professor (2 years) and Film Professor (3 years).
The actors and actresses in the film were all regular patrons of Petite Reve Cafe, including Camille Reynold's father (J Peter Boles) and uncle (Joe Boles).
Jonathan Fletcher (Composer, Original Music) lives in the United Kingdom, so he and Jonathon McGee would Skype conference, and exchange notes and rough cuts through DropBox.
