This was a nail biter of an episode! This is honestly the best top 7 in Hell's Kitchen history. So to see 2 people go home was gonna be tough to watch. Only because they all deserve to make it to black jackets! So much great talent among everyone. I think this whole season has sent home the right person each elimination and, mind you, that's pretty rare to see in HK.
For this episode each round just got more and more intense. You could see everyone truly fighting for their lives! Laser focused. I honestly didn't think Carmen was gonna make it to the Top 5 and then once she was saved I was so shook because then that meant it was only gonna be Ryan, Jason, and Leigh left and with only 1 jacket remaning I was left so disappointed. With Jason being rightfully eliminated and it only being Leigh and Ryan left I hated to see it being picked between the 2 of them. Gordon didn't lie when he said it this was the hardest decision since the show started that he had to make to pick between them. When Gordon picked Leigh over Ryan I had never been SO GAGGED in my life over an elimination!!! I was FLOORED!!! Only because I thought through the entire season that Ryan would be Top 2 material because he's been so damn consistent through the whole competition. So when I thought he was leaving I just couldn't believe it.
So you could imagine my IMENSE happiness and relief when Gordon chose for Ryan to also get a jacket! I was so so happy for both of them! It was a pretty emotional moment too. I'm super happy that Gordon and the producers knew that both Leigh and Ryan deserved to be in the Top 6 black jackets , which they haven't done in 10 seasons, because usually it's been only 5 get black jackets.
Overall this has been the best episode in years for the show! It's gonna be hard to see people going home with how much talent is in the top 6.
