Project Necromancer!
and_mikkelsen21 February 2024
This was a thrilling episode with some great atmosphere, backed up by a suspensefull soundtrack!

This episode gives us more information on what Dr. Hemlock is working on, and why he needs the blood of Omega and the clones! Knowing how things evolves later on in the universe, i think I have a clue of what he is working on!

The scenes with Palpatine are the best of the episode! They do a great job of making him meneacing and Ian McDiarmid never dissapoints! It is obvious he loves this role!

The action was great and direction and animation is great in every scene! I hope this is the standard from here on out!

Overall these first 3 episodes created a great hook for the rest of the season!

It's getting huge when the emperor arrives.

Finishing the first trilogy of episodes of The Bad Batch's final season I am fully electrified by what has been going on this far. Dave Filoni and his team of the worlds best writers have wasted not a single minute and brought the story on the way.

We are back on Tantiss with Omega and Crosshair who are forced to attempt to escape, when the secret of Omega's blood sample is revealed. Her blood could be the last missing key to project necromancer, Emperor Palpatine's masterplan. Hos presence in this episode gave me goosebumps as it has in season two. This show's story is getting bigger and bigger.

The characters are all written perfectly and the fact that nearly everyones future is unknown rises the tension to new heights. Every character could die at anytime. Just keep that in mind.

Everything I have hoped for, was fulfilled and surpassed. George Lucas' ideas still have an impact on his franchise. Dave Filoni treats them with respect and completes them to perfection. The Ahsoka show was a complete blackout, but he regained his senses and delivers magic again.

A good episode that sets a lot of future things up.

Warning: Spoilers
I think as a whole this episode is quite good, lot's of tension, stakes and emotions, seeing Palpatine was awesome and the overall feel of Tantiss is even more cool than ever before! I liked how some of the things used to escape were foreshadowed. I do have a few issues with it. Mainly I feel the lack of security surrounding Omega and Crosshair is a bit weird and doesn't make a lot of sense, why wouldn't Omega be constantly monitored at the very least? Also overall the shootouts aren't anything awesome but that's more a nitpick than anything. Regardless just a really solid episode, excited to see more!

If I could give this a million out of ten, I would

Yes. Next!

Can't wait for the next episode. This show and the characters have grown near and dear to me. The duo consisting of Omega and Crosshair is something you never knew you needed but desperately want more of once they gave you a taste of it. The writing is great, the level of excitement, the menace of the empire, the desperation of the remaining batchers, it just doesn't fail. The situations seem hopeless, their success far out of reach, yet the amount of luck that is involved never feels unrealistic.

I'm trying to keep the spoilers out of this review. But the first three episodes took off and landed perfectly. It leaves you wanting more. Overall, it was just a treat for those who love the show and are waiting for more to come.

The first 3 episodes were SOLID!

I love the slow burn in Episode 1 & 2, a lot of building tension, building the tone of season 3. The tone of the entire season 3 is darker and more serious which was set up beautifully.

I also love the relationship between Crosshair and Omega. Omega still has that hope and determination Crosshair lost. I love how Omega is starting to reach Crosshair. Their development of their relationship is starting strong and I can't wait to see more.

I WANT TO SEE what's in that Specimen container in Project Necromancer!!! IS it actual young palpatine clone??? I need more lol.

Wow what an episode

Honestly WOW

Dave Filoni has easily saved Star Wars. I've only watched 3 episodes so far (not 8 like many people who got early access and said it was good) but this episode was truly amazing.

I don't understand how we can get so attached to animation characters. We see so much emotion from Crosshair and Omega, after everything thats happened they get away like this. I have no words over how amazing this episode is.

Palpatine is finally getting the scary feeling he deserves. New movies were horrible with him but this is wow. He looks so scary and you can feel his presence at all time.

I also loved how Omega rescued the dog. I'm very interested to see if she has force abilities further down the line. I have so many questions and i'm so excited and this is how you want to feel 3 episodes in. Episode 1 and 2 were great for a start of the show but this episode left me wanting to watch it again, which is really rare.

Easily 9/10! Loved it! Hope to see clones like Rex, Coady down the line!

Not just yet... perhaps one day...

Yeah this was great. I actually kind of like the relationship between Omega and Crosshair. He's Cole to the realization that he picked the wrong side and would rather punish himself. In contrast, Omega sees him as her "brother" and wants to save him. Imagine getting an episode in this season where she's the one that truly saves him. If done right, that could potentially be one of the best arcs in the whole series.

Their escape was a lot of fun to watch, and the glimpses back to her blood sample kept tension reasonably high until the very end!

Palpatine's presence was felt and it was awesome. I love Ian coming back to voice the character. No one does it as good as him.

Why the animal side character though? What's up with that? Is that part for the kids watching?

Either way, great episode. This season is so far off to a much more interesting start than S2.

Why are people rating this so high?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has Palpatine visiting the lab to see the progress of "project necromancer" and claims that it is there is nothing of greater importance to securing the future of the empire. Seriously? More and more trying to link to the sequels is just annoying. Palpatine dies at the end of RotJ and that's it. He does not come back to life but I guess Filoni and crew have to try to make it seem like the sequels connect to the rest of Star Wars (which they don't). The rest of the episode is Omega and Crosshair finally escaping and Hemlock finding out that Omega's blood can be used for midichlorian cloning... somehow. I'm sure the show won't explain it at all. Did the kaminoans make Omega that way or is that just how she naturally is? She's from the Jango Fett template and unaltered so is that implying that Jango could have been force sensitive? This show is such a mess that loves creating questions but never answers them. But hey, at least this episode wasn't filler so at least there's that...
