One of the best episodes of the season so far..

Whoever is doing castings for this show is a genious! Was thrilled with Melissa and what she brought to the show, and am happy to report that casting Jensen Ackles as Russell was a brilliant move as well. Not only was the chemistry between Justin and Jensen really natural, they actually look alike! Enjoyed their interactions during the episode, and wouldn't mind seeing it more in the future. That ending left me emotional.

What really happened to their father and why Colter's mother lied about it to Colter is turning out to be a big mistery. I am really curious to see how it gets unpacked.

All in all, this episode was really good from start to finish.

possibly the strongest episode since the series premiere
GT12714 May 2024
The pairing of two charismatic actors in an action-packed adventure delivers an hour of television that's simply irresistible.

From the moment Jensen Ackles steps into the role of Russell Shaw, it's clear that the casting team hit the jackpot. Ackles brings an effortless charm and charisma to the character that elevates every scene he's in.

One of the highlights of this episode is the chemistry between Ackles and the rest of the cast. His interactions with Yolanda at the morgue showcases Ackles's impeccable comedic timing and adds a delightful layer of humor to the show.

But it's not just the humor that shines in this episode. The action sequences, particularly the scene at the tattoo shop, are executed with precision and excitement, demonstrating the seamless teamwork between Russell and Colter.

The dynamic between Colter and Reenie adds another intriguing layer to the episode. While Colter may be hesitant to mix work with personal relationships, there's a hint of jealousy when Russell shows interest in Reenie, hinting at deeper emotions beneath the surface.

Overall, the episode delivers on all fronts. With its engaging storyline, stellar performances, and irresistible charm, it's a must-watch for fans of the series.

They had great chemistry. Baby brother.
TV_Gourmet18 May 2024
I worried that Jensen would be Dean and I would have been disappointed. But Jensen has acting chops. The similarity with Supernatural is Jensen plays the big brother. The dissimilarity is that Justin Hartley (Colter) brings his own dynamic and it feels real. This show needs more opportunities for Colter to show emotions with people in long term relationships and not just a person of the week; or the analyst; or the ladies at base.

Finally we see Colter in an emotional conundrum which is interesting.

The Reenie relationship could also be interesting but her role is written to be a little too transactional at this stage. I hope they put more personal / romantic tension there.

The problem with Jensen is he is a scene stealer. I saw there was an effort to make him the supporting actor. It's a strong pairing. The question is can Justin Hartley's ego ( it would be hard for any lead actor) make room for everything that is Jensen Ackles? It will upgrade the show, but Jensen will get a lot of fan love. But so will justin Hartley because this relationship brings the ability for him to be more multifaceted, gives him more depth, allows for more emotional scenes. They had great chemistry .

Perfect just got better

Warning: Spoilers
I'm an unabashed fan of Tracker. From the cast in it, to the stories it gives us, to the underlying mystery we are teased with regarding his parents, especially his dad's death. More so now that it's obvious Russell DIDN'T kill their dad.

But adding Jensen Ackles as his brother was a master stroke of luck and/or casting. These two are not only beautiful in their own right, they really could be brothers just by looks, attitude alone. But it doesn't hurt I already loved Jensen Ackles...his acting range is always delightful.

Colter is a bit of an introvert, quiet, even studious at times (gorgeous nerd, be still my heart) but he's also very physically capable of handling bad guys. Russell brings a much loved breath of fresh-air comic lightness to the show that I didn't even know was missing until it was there on the screen.

The two of them together is fun to watch...For that reason alone I hope they bring him back often.

Great brother dynamic!

Really enjoying Tracker. Not the biggest Justin Hartley fan, but the addition of Jensen Ackles as his brother Russell really has me intrigued. I thought that the "Easter eggs" were fun. As a viewer of Supernatural and This is us, I like the interaction between Colter and Russell. Reenie is a wonderfully written character as well. It's interesting watching how the three actors play off of each other. I'm hoping that Russell will be a recurring character and that they delve deeper into Colters past to see who actually killed their father.

There's kind of a wistful wishful thinking between them when they talk for things to be different. It will be interesting going forward.

Really enjoyed this

I am a fan of Tracker since my daughter turned me on to it. Also, a huge Jensen Ackles fan. I thought this episode was great, especially after we meet Colter's other sibling. I hope we find out more about Russell cause he's really interesting. Of course, Jensen brings grade A acting every time and he and Justin play well together.

It will be really great when we get to delve into the family history. Their mother is definitely sketchy, so is Russell and his job. It will be interesting to see where it all goes. I like the side characters, especially Reenie. Hope they get a few seasons out of this show and Jensen gets to play Russell for a while longer.

Always happy to see Jensen Ackles onscreen !
nastyyeahh15 May 2024
I'm giving a 10! Because as stated above, I'm always happy whenever I see Jensen's lovely face light up my tv screen. While trying not to sound too bitter, I only wish I could see more of him lol...

I'll always have a soft spot for a story about two brothers reconnecting through space and time. This episode doesn't disappoint me in that regard; while providing the lead character of the series with more of a history and depth, it also satisfied the Supernatural fan in me with the little easter egg reference. As an actor, Jensen was a strong addition to the cast.

So all in all, good show- great episode.

I am here to stay
freekludacha15 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Admitedly, I just recently started watching this show because of the announcement of Jensen joining it, but I am so glad I was introduced to it. I speed run to catch up with it, and have been tuning in live since 2 weeks ago. I might not have been here from the very beginning, but I am here to stay.

I liked Justin since Smallvile (unrelated, but he is my favorite green arrow), and have loved him in This is Us. This show does not break his streak in my books. I like Colter and what he has done with his character. This episode, and the way he and Jensen played of each other made me low this show even more. Even though Colter and Russell are estranged brothers, their reconnection and dialog flowed very convincelly. It left me wishing to see more of them. What could make this even more perfect, is seeing all three siblings reunite.

As for the plot of the episode, it took the turn I did not expect. I was thinking it will be focused on their dad and resolution of what truly happened to him and who pushed him off the cliff. Instead, we did not get much of the new information about their dad. It makes me think that this might be building up into something bigger.

Oh, and I loved the scene where Russell was teasing Colter about Reenie. She is so awesome, Colter better act up on it soon or I might have to steal her from him.

Great episode but worried about shows fate
grlym-4684915 May 2024
The episode was great. The addition of the supernatural actor was seamless...but very concerning.

I don't know if it's a good or bad sign for the show.

On the good side, the show expanded the budget to afford its first big name actor...

Or it could be bad. As in this is just a ploy to grab viewers based on one actors stardom to avoid cancellation. Which doesn't work all that well most of the time. And if they don't make him an active character...then will be and his character/story wash away because they can't get him back in the show because he got a more active gig. Or they have to recast him to save the story arch.

I am hoping it's a good sign. As the show is maturing well.

Not my favorite

Warning: Spoilers
With the addition of Jensen in the show I had high hopes, but I was disappointed. I don't mind a few Easter eggs here and there, but this was beyond to many. If I didn't t know any better you'd think you were watching a episode of Supernatural. As I was watching I had to catch myself not to call Russell Shaw, Dean Winchester. I get he's a guest star, but was it the Jensen show or Justin's show? If he comes back for season two they definitely need to tweak the character a bit so I know he's a new character and not a one trick pony. I love Dean, but he shouldn't be on Tracker. Sorry if I disappointed anyone.
