An abundance of everything I want to see!
guardedheartie16 April 2024
After a very exciting season premiere, this second episode brought in some more drama, some uncomfortable feelings, and a bit of a disappointing shocker in the last scene -- that said, as part of the big picture, it's a necessary part of the season as a whole. The end goal is secure, we just have to experience the journey week by week.

Since the overall theme of the episode was Miscommunications, it's natural that the audience has some confusion along the way, but all becomes clear in the the end.

There are 4 great scenes between Nathan and Allie -- they finally get to go fishing together, and they talk about Allie's mom Colleen.

As well as 4 great scenes between Nathan and Elizabeth -- these two have sparks between them in every scene. The make the most of every line of dialogue. They are always enjoyable to watch!

Storylines of the other characters -- Faith and little Lily, Rosemary and Lee, Mike and Mei, Bill, Henry and the Canfields are all enjoyable as well.

Something happened at the very end that brought some drama -- it felt uncomfortable but I know it's a catalyst to bring events forward. So I recommend you watch for yourself!

Another Great Episode!

Another good episode of When Calls the Heart that once again sets up some interesting stories and possibilities. Nathan and Elizabeth have incredible chemistry and it is on full display here. I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.

The guy punch ending added someone intrigue and drama to the mix, which I think is fun! There are a lot of layers and lots of nuance to what is unfolding, and I appreciate that. I can't wait to see where the season goes from here!

It's great season to start on for anyone who has been thinking about giving the show a try. I would highly recommend jumping in now as there are fresh new stories that are about to unfold.

Another Wonderful episode

Wow, Henry and Joseph are just so good. (Minnie and Joseph too). Also, I love the way Henry looks across the street at Abigail's cafe, even in her absence, she's still an inspiration to him (and to others). His whole discourse there was just perfection. And I love his friendship with Elizabeth!

I love this new little girl, such a precious addition, and her scenes with Faith are just perfection. Storylines like this put the hope in Hope Valley!

Rosemary and Lee are just so adorable together, and I love that she keeps him on his toes. The real Coulters are back in the building! Yay!

Sidenote: please give us more of Nathan and Rosemary, maybe a special friendship? She is the daughter of a Mountie after all, and would be such a great help to him with Allie.

Lucas and Henry are great together. I really hope Henry says yes to be his right hand man. These two are awesome together...

And wow, the Nathan/Elizabeth tension is mounting. Please give us more. We just love them!

So many things to love!

Thank you creators, cast, and crew for another amazing episode. I just can't say it enough: Hope Valley is back and better than ever!

Kavan Smith (who plays Lee) recently stated (in an interview) that if he had to describe Season 11 in only one word, he'd use the word "Unexpected". And I have to say, he's right! So far, Season 11 is knocking my expectations clear out of the park!

Highlights:
  • Lucas is really coming into his own. I just adore his style of governing: leading by empowering others. He's so great at this, as evidenced by that phone call we got to witness. Go, Lucas!

  • Nathan's comedic side is just so funny. Why did we not tap into this before? And he and Allie are a gold mine of funny.

  • Thank you for mentioning Abigail. I just love that acknowledgment as we all miss her!

  • Henry's line, "Happiness is where I'm headed." Oh, such a great nugget of wisdom there. And, can I just say, for Henry's sake: It's about time!

  • Poor Mike - he's also a comedic gold mine, Ben Rosenbaum is so adorable and plays both awkward and sweet so well. More, please!

  • Joseph and Minnie are wonderful as usual, the wisdom moment of the episode, yet again. Maybe someone should quote them each episode and put it up somewhere on the HM website?

  • Lee and Rosemary just get better and better. They are a joy to watch, and I love the tough topics they tackle. Couples goals!

  • Faith and Lily are such a beautiful picture of Found Family. I hope you are going where I think you are going with this, because its just fantastic and exhibits the heart of Hope Valley. It's one of the reasons we love this little town so much! Everybody has a home here!

  • Speaking of Found Family, I love that Allie is asking about her mom. And I love how Nathan shares about Allie's mother in a way that leaves us all uplifted. Sure, there is sadness there, but remembering can bring healing too.

  • Love that birthday card, Little Jack. You get it, little buddy. What a wonderful foreshadowing (I hope), of what's to come. I mean, if little man gets it, what's taking Nathan and Elizabeth so long? Guess that romantic tension, that "will-they/won't-they" tug-of-war, is what's kept us all on the edge of our seats this long (; So, f.i.n.e. Take your time, you two. I guess. Slow-burn it all you want, just know that we're dying over here, burning right up with you...because your chemistry is absolutely off-the-charts. So absolutely off-the-charts that I don't even know how much hotter it can get.

And this is only episode 2!!
