For a star-studded tentpole that’s been hailed as the “biggest” X-Men movie ever attempted, all has gone strangely quiet on the Dark Phoenix front as of late.
The ongoing radio silence likely has something to do with 20th Century Fox’s decision to delay Simon Kinberg’s cosmic epic into 2019 – February, 2019, to be specific – and we understand Dark Phoenix won’t be present at San Diego Comic-Con this year, either.
But that doesn’t mean the ensemble drama has slipped into the depths of obscurity; as spotted by ComicBook.com, it appears some theater merchandise for X-Men: Dark Phoenix has escaped onto the interwebs (see below), and it draws our attention to three of the franchise’s most prominent players – Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan). There’s even a shot of the famous Blackbird airship thrown in for good measure.

The Beatle swapped seats with Corden as they harmonized their way through a catalog of his greatest hits, from “Baby You Can Drive My Car” to “Penny Lane” to “Let It Be” to “Blackbird,” as well as his new song, “Come On to Me.”
McCartney took Corden on a guided tour of his hometown of Liverpool, as he pointed out local landmarks like the church where he was a choir boy, the Penny Lane street sign (where McCartney added his autograph), and of course the barber shop (where they snapped the first of many selfies). Crowds gathered wherever they went, shaking hands, asking for autographs and often...

Michelle Williams has always gone her own way. The Montana-born actress was legally emancipated from her parents at age 15 so that she could better pursue her acting career and pursue it she did. By age 18, she was starring in the popular TV drama “Dawson’s Creek,” in which she played Meg, a loose big-city teen who relocates to small-town life. In her time away from the TV series, she acted in many small independent films, none of which connected until 2003, when one finally did — Tom McCarthy‘s “The Station Agent,” in which she played a small-town librarian who becomes close to a socially-withdrawn dwarf (Peter Dinklage). That performance earned Williams her first SAG Awards nomination for Best Ensemble.

Like his long-time rival coach on “The Voice” Adam Levine, Blake Shelton has only paired up four of his 12 artists in the first two battle rounds of season 14 on March 19 and 20. While the two battle winners — Kyla Jade and Jaron Strom — move on to the knockout round, neither of the losers (JessLee and Bransen Ireland) were stolen by any of the other coaches. Conversely, Shelton used one of his two steals to throw Dylan Hartigan a lifeline after Kelly Clarkson opted to keep Brynn Cartelli following their battle duet on “…Ready for It?”
We will see Shelton’s other eight artists — Pryor Baird, Spensha Baker, Dallas Caroline, Austin Giorgio, Brett Hunter, Jordan Kirkdorffer, Kaleb Lee and Wilkes — do battle on March 26 and 27. He will have to winnow them down to four and use his other steal as well. That will leave him with eight artists to take to the knockout round.

Going into Night 4 of The Voice’s Season 14 Blind Auditions, I was thinking that Alicia Keys wasn’t kidding, like, at all when she told Kelsea Johnson that she was an unstoppable beast who had every intention of winning the show again, as she had with Chris Blue in Season 12. Ahead of Tuesday’s episode, her team was made up damn near entirely of singers that I either liked a bunch (Kelsea and Britton Buchanan) or flat-out loved (Johnny Bliss, Christiana Danielle and my current favorite, Jaclyn Lovey). Did the coach recruit any more real contenders on Tuesday? Read on and find out…...

In what can best be described as an unconventional pitch to make his new movie soar, Isaiah Washington hit up a gay nightclub this past weekend to promote Lgbt drama “Blackbird.” TMZ posted video Tuesday of Washington and “Blackbird” costar Gary LeRoi Gray partying at West Hollywood hotspot Rage. Washington, who produced and co-stars in the film, was videotaped drinking, dancing, making new friends and singing “Blackbird’s” praises. The star’s marketing effort apparently paid off. “Blackbird” opened Friday in 13 theaters, taking in $45,834 for a respectable $3,526 per screen average. Isaiah Washington's on a guerrilla marketing campaign to spread the word about his new movie to the Lgbt community, and he went all in -- maybe not all in -- by partying at a legendary gay bar. Washington hit up Rage nightclub in West Hollywood (one of the biggest gay bars in town) this past weekend promoting "Blackbird" with his co-star Gary LeRoi Gray. We're told he was drinking and dancing ... having a great time.

The Boys in the Choir: Polk’s Antiquated Rendition of the Rural Gay Narrative
The blatant underrepresentation of black gay characters in film, whatever letter they’re placed into on the inclusive Lgbt spectrum, is simply not reason enough to appreciate the elemental contrivances of Patrik-Ian Polk’s Blackbird, an independent film rife with cliché in its euphemistic depiction of the rural queer experience that does little to elevate the film’s archaic nature.
The title has been inadvertently thrown into a higher caliber pop culture zeitgeist thanks to its distinction as Mo’Nique’s first post-Oscar role since her 2009 win for Best Supporting Actress in Precious. The significant media coverage concerning potential fallout between herself and director Lee Daniels should enhance the film’s shelf-life beyond the trappings of a niche market. Produced by the actress and her agent/husband Sidney Hicks, the project feels very much like the...

Five years after winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in “Precious,” Mo’Nique is returning to theaters in “Blackbird.” The independent drama centers on a deeply religious high school student in a small Mississippi town, who struggles with the fact that he may be gay. Mo'Nique's interview with The Hollywood Reporter is filled with interesting tidbits: reflections on Robin Williams; her deep connection to Hattie McDaniel, the first African American to win an Oscar; and more. But the topic on everyone's lips is Mo'Nique's claim that Lee Daniels told her she has been "blackballed" in Hollywood, and that's why she hasn't scored major roles since her Oscar win for Lee's movie Precious in 2010. "I got a phone call from Lee Daniels maybe six or seven months ago," she explained. "And he said to me, 'Mo'Nique, you've been blackballed.' And I said, 'I've been blackballed? Why have I been blackballed?' And he said, 'Because you didn't play the game.' And I said, 'Well, what game is that?' And he gave me no response." In the discussion that follows, Mo'Nique actually suggests why she's been shut out of roles, although...
