- This comic style film introduces us to the members of La Pegatina, from fans to stars of the mestizo sound, en route to universality. The plot is arranged like an indie film, a la Zombieland but fusion-style, and all the gags under the sun. For example: the screen splits and up pops a statistical contest between two members to determine who is the most absent minded (lost cell phones, instruments and misplaced clothing all count...). La Pegatina the film is like La Pegatina the band: up-close, witty, and full of rhythm and humanity. A documentary about buddies around the world, about two dudes that evolve from die-hard Manu Chao fans to stars in their own right. They talk about school, about the bad old days, how they met, and take the piss out of each other (on Rubén: "physical work isn't his thing"), and Tomasín even appears, an old chum, supplier of medicinal herbs and star of the namesake song. Mulatto rumba between friends. Without borders, but from here. Totally from here.—BEEFEATER IN-EDIT :: Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de Barcelona
