Release The Hounds host Reggie Yates has revealed that people in television have no idea how ITV2 is allowed to broadcast Release The Hounds.
The terrifying horror game-show - which Yates declared is "bigger and better" this year - sees contestants taking part in various scary games before literally running from a pack of dogs, all in an attempt to win some cash.
"I have people saying to me, 'I don't know how you're getting away with what you're doing', particularly people who work in telly!" Yates told Digital Spy. "They're like, 'How are you getting away with that?' That's definitely the conversation that I'm having on a regular basis."
And Yates admitted that he would never take part in the game himself, saying: "I'd never do it. It's not something I'd ever want to do. I really enjoy the role that I play and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Reggie Yates has revealed that he is working on a new series of Extreme documentaries set in the UK.
Yates has previously filmed Extreme programmes in South Africa and Russia but revealed that the next series will be much closer to home.
"It's going to air next year," he told Digital Spy. "It's three episodes, it's all in the UK and it's mind-blowing. It's mind-blowing, the stuff that we get into, so I can't wait for people to see it. And also for people to have a moment to go, 'Holy crap, that's actually happening here where I live'."
Yates, who revealed that he's "not worried" about BBC Three's move online, also examines the recent events in Ferguson, Missouri in tonight's Reggie Yates: Race Riots USA.
"I get under the skin of the whole Mike Brown situation – I talk to people who are in favour of the police...

Horror/game show hybrid Release The Hounds debuted as a Halloween special on the UK’s ITV2 last year. The one-off episode received positive notices for the premise, and an outpouring of interest on Twitter. ITV has now commissioned a six-episode series to be produced by Sony Pictures Television‘s UK production joint venture Gogglebox. Production starts on the hourlong show this spring. It will be fronted by UK TV personality Reggie Yates. Release The Hounds mixes two genres by sending unsuspecting contestants into a forest at dusk as they seek out chests full of prize money. In order to win big after a series of challenges, they must outrun a pack of hounds trained to guard the cash. Gogglebox created the series with Sony Pictures Television distributing the format internationally; it’s currently in discussions with other territories.
