Sex & Nudity

  • Captain Hook tells Tiger Lilly he's flirting with her. And at one point he tells her that he was hoping to get her alone.

Violence & Gore

  • Based in part during World War II, Bombs are dropped from planes, and there is some aerial dogfighting with fighter planes and a flying galleon
  • The Tribal Chief is executed off camera, with a shower of coloured dust

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A boy is kicked from a ship to fall hundreds of feet to his death in a dramatic scene that might disturb young viewers he does not die, instead he flies
  • A small boat is attacked by a giant crocodile at night in a prolonged, tense, scene in which a main character is dragged into the deep, dark water. He is rescued and survives
  • Blackbeard is intended to be a scary villain, though, for the most part he isn't that imposing. During a dreamlike sequence, however, he is portrayed as a black cloud with glowing eyes that could frighten young viewers when he kills the main character's mother.
