- A new player in the clone conspiracy turns up at Felix's door, sending him into crisis mode. With Cosima running out of options, Sarah struggles with the decision to surrender a crucial piece of leverage and make a deal with DYAD.
- Aldous' death affects most of the clones either directly or indirectly and in different ways. With Paul missing in action, Rachel, who does not know Aldous is dead, is taking charge at Dyad by saying that he died of a heart attack. Cosima and Delphine are still on the outs with each other, Cosima who takes decisive measures to ensure Delphine is unable to make the unilateral decisions concerning Cosima's treatments that she has done thus far with respect to using Kira. Alison and Donnie's marriage reaches a new level as Donnie tries to cope with both the new knowledge of his wife being a clone, and his accidental killing of Aldous. Sarah still does not fully trust her surroundings, especially if Ethan is on their side or Dyad's, but she and Mrs. S decide to take a chance as Ethan states he can cure Cosima without having to use Kira. And Art and Felix meet yet another clone, one by the name of Tony Zwickey, who was originally contacted by Beth. Tony, who has a trait different than all the other known clones, doesn't seem to know about being a clone, so Felix and Art have to decide for both Sarah and Tony's sakes if they will let Tony meet Sarah. Much of that may depend on how much they want to hear the dying breaths of Tony's probable monitor, Sammy, that message specifically for Beth. Conversely, Tony believes Beth, as a cop, could answer the question of who the suits are who ambushed them.—Huggo
- At Dyad, Rachel takes charge, although she is unaware of Leakie's death. She uses Delphine, who Cosima has locked out of the lab, to act as a go-between with Sarah. In the aftermath of Rachel's visit to her father Ethan, Sarah decides it's safe for Kira to join them. Ethan tells them he can cure Cosima without involving Kira and Sarah agrees to let him go to Dyad. Donny tells Alison how sorry he is for everything what happened. He also tells her what's happened with Huxley, who is in the trunk of their car. Det. Art Bell meets with Tony Zwickey, who his ex-partner Beth contacted before she died. Tony's partner in crime Sammy was recently killed and sends Tony to deliver a message for Beth. When he meets Sarah. Tony has a lot to take in - but shares the message Sammy gave him - it's about Paul, who is nowhere to be found.—garykmcd
- The episode opens with Tony Sawicki rushing his friend Sammy, who has just been shot, to an empty warehouse. Before dying, Sammy implores Tony to find Beth and pass on a message to her. Not knowing that Beth is dead, Tony's call to Beth's phone is answered by her former partner, suspended detective Art Bell, who brings Tony to Felix. Realising that Tony is a transgender clone of his foster sister Sarah (Tony's original name was Antoinette Sewicki), Felix ascertains that Tony is unaware of his origins, but refuses to impart any information until Sarah arrives. After Sarah arrives at Felix's apartment and explains to Tony that they are clones, he is unflustered. He passes on Sammy's message for Beth, although neither Sarah nor Felix understand what it means: "Keep the faith. Paul's like me. He's on it. He's a ghost.". Felix gives Tony his, Sarah's, and Art's phone numbers and shares a kiss with Tony before he leaves again.
Ethan Duncan is staying at Mrs. S's house, along with Sarah and Kira, as they figure out what to do with him. While there, he is reading The Island of Dr. Moreau, by H. G. Wells, to himself and to Kira.
Although Delphine and Cosima are still at odds, Delphine delivers Kira's tooth. Scott is surprised to learn that the stem cell donor was a child, and remarks that a more effective treatment for clone 324B21 (who he doesn't know is Cosima) would be the child's bone marrow. They drill into the tooth to get living tissue.
Alison returns home from rehab to find her husband Donnie drunk and chastises him. When she catches him trying to leave the house in the middle of the night, she persuades him not to give up on their marriage. In an effort to open up to him, she confesses that she played a role in the death of their neighbor Aynsley and is shocked when Donnie responds by confessing that he accidentally shot and killed Dr. Aldous Leekie, the director of the Dyad Institute the night before. When Alison asks what he did with Leekie's body, Donnie leads her to their garage where Leekie's corpse is wrapped in the trunk of their car. Throughout this episode, they are both turning from anger to a feeling of affection and working together against enemies.
Rachel, who works for the Dyad Institute, promotes Delphine Cormier to the role formerly held by Leekie, who had been ordered dead when Rachel let him escape the previous night. The official cover story is that he died of a heart attack on a private jet. Rachel sets Delphine the task of convincing Professor Ethan Duncan-a founding scientist of the clone program and Rachel's adoptive father-to come into Dyad to help find a cure for the illness that has befallen Cosima. Throughout, Rachel has been trying to make contact with Paul, who seems to have disappeared.
Cosima comes into her lab, and finds Scott already there, with three of his Dyad friends playing Runewars. Cosima is cool with that, and spends her time doing research on Delphine, although she comes up to correct them on a game rules issue. Delphine comes to them and tells Cosima that Leekie is dead, and she is going to try to recruit Ethan into developing a true cure, since the therapy from Kira's tooth is just a band-aid.
Delphine visits Mrs. S's house, and passes on Rachel's proposal: Ethan Duncan will go to Dyad and work on gene therapy that doesn't involve Kira's stem cells. They agree. As Ethan leaves, he leaves The Island of Dr. Moreau with Kira.
When Ethan arrives, Rachel questions him about why she cannot reproduce and he reveals that all of the clones were intended to be infertile by design. In response, she breaks down in anger and trashes her office.
Delphine and Cosima reunite and get high in their laboratory together, after which they profess their love for each other. Before Ethan arrives at Dyad to meet Cosima, she confesses to her lab assistant Scott that the clone subject they are researching, 324B21, is in fact herself. Shortly after meeting Ethan, Cosima begins to cough and vomit blood before falling to the ground and seizing.
