Well-intentioned but Flaky pseudoscience
smiledaydream22 June 2021
A lot of the movie is a solid foundation in a mix of different sciences. But at some points people decide to mix in some sort of folk medicine here or pseudoscience somewhere else and stuff that's more similar to poetry at other points. Since the description of the movie is that it is scientifically-based as opposed to presenting folk theory or medicine I have to give it a low rating as it is similar to a YouTube video and lack of scientific structure. If you watch it with a critical eye and want to gain information from it it is a rather nice thing to watch. I would rather have something that is much more clearly science.

The plot summary should read

E-Motion is a documentary that explores how human emotions might have an affect on the physiology of the human body and how once "negative" emotions are replaced with "positive" emotions sometimes correlation can be drawn with physical changes. A team of emotion "experts" looking to cash in selling pop psychology to the masses, share their best marketing language on "negative emotion clearing" methods to show humanity the path to health and enlightenment and to enable their businesses to grow.
