Jar Jar and the Queen
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic6 October 2020
I am not a fan of Jar Jar or of the silly, comedic episodes of clone wars. Of course if Jar Jar features a lot in an episode it automatically is silly and this is another example of that so it is not to my taste. However, I found this story slightly more appealing and amusing than some Jar Jar stories.

Jar Jar is requested by the Queen of a force strong race to help her deal with disappearances among her people's spiritual leaders. Her people do not trust the Jedi but she trusts Jar Jar.

The best aspect of this episode is Mace Windu as Jar Jar's companion on his mission. The classic idea of an ill matched partnership brings some smiles and Mace is a great character anyway.

It is quite a bizarre idea that Jar Jar somehow has a romantic past with the Queen but the suggestion his pure innocence appeals to her at least makes it partly plausible.

Jar Jar's dialogue and silliness annoys me and the episode is just a filler but it is not awful. It is ok.

My rating: 6/10.

Indiana jones and the temple of doom

Its a ripoff indiana jones and the temple of doom!

Its an absolutely the same story line and everything like the indiana jones episode with indian tribe that has a prophecy about their children disappearing. It's actually funny how identical it is. I guess you can borrow stuff from your old friends. I am just a bit disappointed that they are all obviously creatively drained at this point.

I mean nothing good comes out of jar jar screen time also but I guess we will live. I am still glad clone wars exist, the episodes before this one are pretty good.

Nothing much to say actually except that.

Decent episode, despite Jar Jar.

This episode will definitely not please everyone since it revolves around Jar Jar, but it still manages to be entertaining, especially towards the end. Windu saves it.

Fillery

It isn't offensively bad, but it is probably weakest episode in this season. Jar Jar is a bit more tolerable in this show than he was in The Phantom Menace, but the writers can never seem to put him in one of their better stories. It's good to finally see more of Mace Windu.

Not bad overall, just kind of there.

Underrated Episode
benhalos11 August 2021
It could definitely be argued that these 2 episodes are the worst of this season but I think that says more about the overall strength of the season than the flaws of this arc. Mace Windu and Jar Jar have great contrasting personalities and I wouldn't have minded seeing more episodes featuring these 2 together.

Is it lonely up there on your pedestals?

There are people who rated this episode low, simply because of Jar Jar Binks. A Star Wars from the Light side will be a fan of all parts of the Universe. However there are many from the Dark who believe they should be dictators of what is or is not appropriate. This episode is beautifully animated and it is such a shame that people rate things just because it has a certain character. I give it 10/10 to try to bring balance to the basement-dwellers who desire to control the Universe.
