I am not a fan of Jar Jar or of the silly, comedic episodes of clone wars. Of course if Jar Jar features a lot in an episode it automatically is silly and this is another example of that so it is not to my taste. However, I found this story slightly more appealing and amusing than some Jar Jar stories.
Jar Jar is requested by the Queen of a force strong race to help her deal with disappearances among her people's spiritual leaders. Her people do not trust the Jedi but she trusts Jar Jar.
The best aspect of this episode is Mace Windu as Jar Jar's companion on his mission. The classic idea of an ill matched partnership brings some smiles and Mace is a great character anyway.
It is quite a bizarre idea that Jar Jar somehow has a romantic past with the Queen but the suggestion his pure innocence appeals to her at least makes it partly plausible.
Jar Jar's dialogue and silliness annoys me and the episode is just a filler but it is not awful. It is ok.
My rating: 6/10.
