- Empowered with authority by the President, Truman launches a mustard gas attack to kill Miles and Monroe. To Rachel's disappointment, Miles agrees to join Monroe in a ruthless plot to beat the Patriots at their own game. Meanwhile, Neville faces his own challenge from the Patriots, and Aaron grows increasingly alarmed by the power of the nanotech.—Anonymous
- Open with Truman meeting with President Davis. He's upset with the failures in Texas and wants an explanation. Truman says people above him have been making his job more difficult. He says if anybody is to blame it's Davis. Davis laughs and responds by saying he'll give him "a shot."
Charlie finds the badly injured Miles.
Truman returns and is brought to a man named Ike. Ike has seen Miles and Monroe's camp. Truman tells a man in uniform he wants them to mobilize immediately and is told "we'll unload the canisters."
Nanotech-Priscilla tells Aaron they're not done with his wife's body yet.
Thousands of birds begin flying overhead in the same direction. Priscilla tells Aaron he should run and moments later a yellow cloud approaches them. It is mustard gas and everybody heads for higher ground. Men in gas masks arrive and start shooting people as they flee. Miles spots a truck and ushers everybody inside. Priscilla is not one of them.
Nanotech-Priscilla is able to walk through the gas with no effect.
Marion comes home and finds Truman putting something in a dresser. After he leaves she finds a file. The contents seem to disturb her.
Priscilla re-joins Aaron, Rachel and the others. Monroe tells Miles he wants to hit them back at their own game, using gas. He says they're at war and wants to do whatever it takes. Miles agrees. Rachel tells Miles that Monroe wins, but "you and me? We're done."
Miles asks Monroe his plan for the future. He mentions going after Georgia after taking out the Patriots and Miles is surprised. He's worried Monroe is going to repeat his mistakes from the past.
That night Aaron sees Nanotech-Priscilla leave and follows her.
Shaw, one of Truman's men, finds Tom and asks him for a progress report. He follows Tom into his home and pulls out a gun. But just before he can pull the trigger he steps onto a trap Tom has hidden in the floor. Tom then asks him questions about Julia. Shaw confirms that Julia is also a target and could be dead already. He blames the Patriots for his son's death and shoots Shaw twice.
Gene and Charlie find Marion. They demand she come with them.
Conner is used as bait so Miles and Monroe can grab several of Truman's mustard gas troops. They shoot them and take the gas. "We've going to have some fun with these," Monroe says.
Aaron finds Priscilla walking near a house. He walks inside and finds two of Truman's guards sitting in what looks like suspended animation. The lights turn on and Nanotech-Priscilla tells Aaron she's attempting to improve upon humans by changing their nature. She's altered their limbic systems to make them perpetually happy. Aaron tries to leave but Priscilla won't let him.
Monroe and the gang return with the mustard gas. Miles tricks them into going outside and locks them out. He and Rachel then use an agent to neutralize the mustard gas. Miles and Rachel had been pretending earlier. Monroe is furious. Miles show Marion that the Patriots have been using mustard gas and she tells him he saw an order for 100 tons of "yellow cross." Miles tells Marion they'll needs her help to monitor what Truman is up to.
After he's done neutralizing the gas Miles lets Monroe back in. He tells him that he doesn't think Monroe has changed and he's not going to make the same mistakes they made before. Miles tells Monroe he doesn't care whether Monroe stays with them or leaves.
Monroe and Connor leave and Rachel asks Miles how he's doing. He tells her that she's and Charlie are the reason he was able to stay alive when he was trapped. They kiss.
We see Monroe bring Connor to a cache of weapons he has. While Monroe's back is turned Tom sneaks up and puts a knife to Connor's head. Tom tells Monroe "we've got work to do."
