At 28 minutes Captain Flint and Miranda Barlow are having a conversation. As the camera switches between characters, Flint's sleeves are first rolled up, then down, then back up, then down again. Distracting, but amusing.
Ned Low's death was an execution hanging by the French in Martinique, not a decapitation by Charles Vane.
Miranda Barlow invites Captain Flint to attend a function at the house of some friends and notes that they have the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in Europe. However, the scene takes place in the early 18th century. European interest in Egyptian culture did not begin in earnest until almost a century later after Napoleon's expedition to Egypt helped revive interest about that country.
