Fairly creative, like the movie itself Warning: Spoilers
"Moonrise Kingdom: Animated Book Short" is a 4-minute mix of live action and animation, in which actor Bosko Balaban (looking like a dwarf from Snow White) presents a female character from Moonrise Kingdom, who herself presents her favorite pieces of children's literature. It's all books that don#t exist in reality, but they sure sound as if they could make for a good read. This film has a bit of a Wes Anderson feel to it, even if the director is Christian De Vita, who also worked on Moonrise Kingdom in the art department. I like (but don't love) Moonrise Kingdom and I guess the same description applies to this pretty short film we have here. Watching it once is enough and if you have not seen or liked MK, then you can skip it right away. I still give it a cautious thumbs-up I guess.

A pastiche of whimsical well-made scenez

There may be a method to this wonderfully crafted nonsense but I couldn't really feel it. One test of a good movie is forgetting you're watching a movie and instead are living in the movie's world. This did not happen for me. I wasn't bored because there was so much going on and it was so prettily and craftily done. But I needed it to make some sense, have some unity, to have a point.

Promo for Moonrise Kingdom #1

Another promo for Moonrise Kingdom starring Bob Balaban. Soothing narration with sublime and pleasant animation styles. Wes Anderson can make anything pleasant and watchable.

And yes! I do like to read.

Totally pointless!

Warning: Spoilers
Just a 5 minute "film" where a little old man talks you through a few books which a woman then narrates paragraphs of... that's it! I know it's supposed to be kind of a preview promoting a film starring the legendary Bruce Willis but to be honest this has actually put me off wanting to watch the film even though Bruce is one of my favourite actors of all time! If you want my opinion don't bother watching this as it's 5 minutes of your life that you won't get back & it didn't make any sense to be perfectly honest! Can't say if the film itself is any good as I haven't seen it yet & now I'm not even sure if I want to!
