In the short story shown as a silent movie, the man is reading a book, "Urbi et orbi", whose author is the young poet David Leo García, one of the couple of narrators of the film. Precisely with this book he had won the Hiperión, one of the main poetry prizes in Spain, at the age of 18.
Footage archive from old newsreels or films was intended for this short documentary when, after re-enacting some scenes and shot in B&W super 8 mm, their style became more historical than actual old footage. For this purpose references were taken from old films of the 1920s, in particular inspiration was taken from Jean Vigo silent movies, and even re-enacted an image from a film starring Vilma Bánky that had shocked and caused a great impact in the old poets.
This short documentary has another film within it: in its last part it includes a passage pretending to be a short film inside. It's somehow a joke of the authors, a sort of fantasy in which a man imagines to be dancing with a mysterious woman alone at the same terrace. Both exchanging sexes, as part of his daydream that soon vanishes. The titles for this short silent film within the film points a production company named El Palo Producciones, taken from the neighborhood in Malaga where MLK, the actual production company, is settled.
