While spending the day with her father, a little girl is given a pair of strange glasses by a mysterious antique shop owner. The two visit an art gallery displaying the works of Viktor Hartmann where the glasses take the little girl on a journey through each painting. Odd characters within timeless, and sometimes dark, worlds await her as she moves from painting to painting to the strains of Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition".
