Author Stephen Graham Jones started his Indian Lake Trilogy with the novel My Heart Is a Chainsaw, which has an audiobook version that was read by Cara Gee, who may be best known for her work on the TV shows Strange Empire and The Expanse. The second novel in the series was Don’t Fear the Reaper, and the audiobook for that one had a full cast that included Isabella Star Lablanc (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) and Jane Levy (Evil Dead 2013). The Indian Lake Trilogy is set to wrap up with The Angel of Indian Lake, which will be published on March 26th – and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have learned that the audiobook for this one is also going to have a full cast, with one of the cast members being the legendary Stephen King! Pre-orders can be made at This Link.

It sounds like kind of an odd name for a Western series but Strange Empire is a series about three women that have lost their men and are trying their best to survive. The series takes place along the Alberta/Montana border and is about the need to do whatever it takes to make sure that they see one day after the next. Eventually the series was picked up in the USA and given a longer title, Strange Empire: Rise of the Women. To be honest that sounds a little condescending, as though the show needed something to really describe what

PhotosSupergirl / Flash / Arrow / Legends of Tomorrow Crossover
Coming off of a heavily serialized, sci-fi-heavy freshman run, The CW’s Arrow/Flash offshoot reboots things a bit when it returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8/7c, as evidenced from the very first scene, in which someone we’ve never met before barges into Mayor Oliver Queen’s office with a wild theory about Green Arrow’s time-traveling friends having gone “missing” — in the past. According to TV Line, Dan Payne (Strange Empire, Watchmen) will be playing a younger version of Obsidian in season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow. The site further clarifies that when the Legends of Tomorrow team first meet the character, he'll be played by Payne, while a future version of the character is played by Lance Henriksen (Millennium, Aliens). This is a pretty interesting development as there are currently no older versions of the 1940s Jsa besides Obsidian. Is there some big, climactic showdown with the Legion of Doom that leaves the shadow-wielding superhero as the only survivor? About Obsidian Obsidian is a DC Comics superhero who first appeared in All-Star Squadron #25 (1983). Created by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway, Todd James Rice is the son of original Green Lantern, Alan Scott and Golden Age super-villain Thorn. With metahumans for parents, it was only natural for Todd to be born with powers of his own.

Liebert will appear in an episode of the midseason Arrow/Flash offshoot as Lindsay Carlisle, a mild-mannered, closeted nurse who awakens something in Sara Lance/White Canary (played by Caity Lotz) that had been dormant since her death (understandably!) and eventual resurrection via the Lazarus Pit.
