After a high-octane finish in Episode 2 of Batman: The Enemy Within, that saw The Pact take on the Agency, we had to believe that Telltale Games would keep up that momentum with a solid 3rd episode, and boy did they ever. Episode 3, The Fractured Mask, has released and we took our time playing through it multiple playthroughs to give you a complete run down of what may just be the best episode yet! Myself and our avid Telltale Gamer La are here to share our experiences from a wild 3rd episode.
Which Pact member did you choose to leave behind in Episode 2?
M: Initially, I chose to leave Harley behind, mainly because I didn’t know what they meant by “Head Off”. I picked “Head Off Bane” only to find out it meant to fight alongside but leave the other behind. I ended up going through it again, choosing to...

For those curious if the final season of “Bloodline” is worth it — the basest function of a review — I will quickly and succinctly answer: No.
Such efficiency feels refreshing after 10 redundant and listless hours spent with a family stuck in the Florida swamp, drifting through the guilty consciouses of characters who seem eager to move on from their own story, and the only thing holding them back is the need to fill one more season.
At its best, “Bloodline” found tension in the intense moral quandaries drawn out by its central conflict: John Rayburn (Kyle Chandler), the patriarch of the Rayburn family, and his younger brother, Danny (Ben Mendelsohn), couldn’t resolve deep-seeded issues that divided them years before “Bloodline” began; not before it was too late, Danny was dead, and John was the one holding him under water.

A killer book (Dog Soldiers) must hide behind a Credence Clearwater tune. Karel Reisz’s killer movie about the moral residue of Vietnam scores as both drama and action, as disillusioned counterculture smugglers versus corrupt narcotics cops. Just don’t expect it to really have much to say about the Vietnam experience. But hey, the cast is tops — Nick Nolte, Richard Masur, Anthony Zerbe — and the marvelous Tuesday Weld is even better as a pill-soaked involuntary initiate into the pre- War On Drugs smuggling scene.

João Nicolau's John From (2015), which is receiving an exclusive global online premiere on Mubi, is showing from May 12 - June 11, 2017 as a Special Discovery.João Nicolau has become one of the main voices of contemporary Portuguese cinema, next to the likes of Miguel Gomes or João Pedro Rodrigues. John From, his second feature, is a dreamy coming of age tale of both epic and intimate proportions, just like first love. By way of an irresistibly warm 16mm cinematography, a candidly charming protagonist, and the exuberance of Melanesia, Nicolau delivers a truly original, enchanting ode to adolescence and fantasy.Notebook: Is this a film about love, about fantasy, or about love being a fantasy?JOÃO Nicolau: Cinema and passion have two things in common. One is that they make you see things. The other is that they make those things become real. Within this frame, fantasy is just one layer of reality.

Folk Hero & Funny Guy (Jeff Grace)
The bond of male friendship is examined – and tested – in Folk Hero & Funny Guy, a short and sweet dramedy from multi-hyphenate Jeff Grace, who writes and directs. We meet comedian Paul (Alex Karpovsky) at the end of a tired stand-up routine in a beer-stained comedy club. Meanwhile, Paul’s childhood friend Jason (Wyatt Russell) has built a successful career for himself as a folk music star.

Close-Up is a column that spotlights films now playing on Mubi. João Nicolau's John From (2015), which is receiving an exclusive global online premiere on Mubi, is showing from May 12 - June 11, 2017 as a Special Discovery. How can we begin to explain why João Nicolau is such a charming oddity in a Portuguese film scene that seems to thrive on individuality and personality? You do not mess with Colonel Tapioca lightly, as someone says at some point in John From, Nicolau’s second feature: the reference is both to a character from the adventures of Tintin and to a Spanish “adventure wear” brand that was very popular in Portugal in the 1990s. Nicolau’s films are full of these little rabbit holes that enrich the tales he’s spinning and sometimes make it seem as if you’ve been mysteriously inducted into the secret society of the Republic of Telheiras.

Well, wow. Sherlock Season 4 Episode 3 was intense. There were a lot of revelations, twists and callbacks, and it was one of the best character studies this show has offered to date. Again, there were fantastic performances from all involved.
That said, Euros' story, or the execution of it, might have been too much for Sherlock's own good. The plot itself left us as many questions as it did answers, which makes it much less satisfying than if it had been a simpler but more compact story.
Let's start with what was great about Sherlock Season 4 Episode 3. This installment was one of the best ones to allow us to dive into who these people are, who they have become. Practically every moment, every scene revealed something about these characters.

Pundits have been scrambling to find the pop-culture analogy that perfectly explains the unlikely political rise of reality TV personality Donald Trump. Until Trump screwed things up by actually winning the election in November, it seemed like Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane was the ideal choice. But writer Tyler Huckabee has another, less conventional idea: Trump is exactly like Prince John in the 1973 Walt Disney version of Robin Hood. In that beloved children’s movie, John is portrayed as a spoiled, egocentric, and immature cartoon lion with the voice of Peter Ustinov. Through his Twitter account, Huckabee lays out his case for Trump being Prince John, point by point.
