I will never understand why Lisa Goes Gaga was the episode that the internet unleashed its fury on when this piece of trash exists.
Lisa Goes Gaga is an episode that I feel is unfairly treated. Yes, it portrays Lady Gaga as a perfect goddess, but that's supposed to be the joke. It's supposed to be comedic how exaggerated and over-the-top her portrayal is. The episode has many other major flaws, but The Simpsons has had way lower points. For example, The Musk Who Fell To Earth, which does everything that Lisa Goes Gaga does wrong only worse.
Lisa Goes Gaga ironically portrays Lady Gaga as exaggeratedly perfect and divine, while the Musk Who Fell To Earth portrays Elon Musk as perfect without a hint of irony, which is made worse by the fact that Elon Musk has done many absolutely irredeemable things in real life.
Lisa Goes Gaga has an opening story that could be cut out completely, with the only purposes that it serves being providing a reason for Lisa to be so sad before meeting Lady Gaga, showing that Lisa is unpopular, and delivering the best joke in the episode, while The Musk Who Fell To Earth has an opening story that wastes so much time that they don't even have enough time to play the intro, doesn't connect to the rest of the episode at all, isn't at all funny, and doesn't even amount to anything in-universe.
On top of that, Elon Musk is not a good voice actor. All of his lines are incredibly monotone, and he did not deserve to be one of the few celebrities who got an entire episode focusing on them instead of a brief cameo.
This is the worst episode of the show by far, and would probably be the worst TV episode that I've seen if it weren't for the fact that I often go out of my way to watch terrible cartoon episodes. Hell, It's probably the worst episode of a show that I actually like. It makes me sad that Bart Vs. Itchy And Scratchy has a lower rating than this when all it did was be pro-feminism.
