This is the third short musical film collaboration between writer Howard Lawrence and director Chris Mauldin.
This film is in memory of director Chris Mauldin's brother, Carey Michael Mauldin, who tragically passed away during preproduction. In honor of Carey, the film is dedicated to the celebration of his life.
All of the bar scenes were filmed at Mojo Grill & Martini Bar in Lexington, SC, while the workplace scenes were filmed at Irmo Tire & Automotive, Inc. in Irmo, SC.
The music for "Water Over Wine" appears on Black River Sanction's second full-length studio album, Running After Midnight, which Howard Lawrence produced.
Writer/executive producer Howard Lawrence calls Black River Sanction's brand of music "Alternative Rock Theatre." The band makes theatrical concept albums with musical influences ranging from classic and progressive rock to jazz and psychedelia. Howard Lawrence is the band's producer.
