This is possibly the worst scripted cryptid TV show I have ever seen. They are pretending its not scripted, but it clearly is. I have never ever given a 1 star out of 10 to any show, but in this case I had to make an exception. My wife and I laughed quite hard throughout the entire first episode simply because it was so clearly fake and downright ridiculous.
For example: The cryptid hunters corner their "cryptid" in a cavern underground in pitch black conditions. They manage to view the 'creature' on their thermal at a distance of some 30 feet. They are locked and loaded with a tranq dart gun and about to bag a cryptid for the first time and make world headlines. So what happens? They shoot the dart gun, and instead of going to check on their targeted creature they automatically turn around and run out of the cave pretending as if they are being chased all the way by some huge bat creature. Now when they had this 'thing' on the thermal imager it looked like a human underneath a blanket. Once they finally reach the entrance to the cave, they put a net over the entrance to "protect themselves" in case it chases after them. They never once go to collect the tranq'd creature and instead just high tailed it out of there like cowards. Then they decide to call it the end of the expedition, and even have the guts to call it a success! What a joke. At the end they stated that they got physical dna evidence, but not once during the show did they state that they got any. Downright terrible. How on earth did this even get on TV? You cant even understand whats happening as the episode is so poorly put together. I decided to check out the second episode that's supposed to be at a different cavern location around the USA; however, everything looked the same as in the first episode! The same cave entrance, the new monster in episode 2 looked the same as the one on episode 1! In fact I am pretty sure that they filmed ep1 and 2 at the same location and just said that they were different locations. They said the first was a volcano, but not once did we see a mountain, it looked more like an abandoned well in both episodes.
What a joke!
