  Dr. Iris Campbell : You don't have to save everyone.

  John Reese : Yes, I do. There are far too many bad people in this world, and not enough good. I knew a detective once, and she was the best cop I ever knew. Never lost sight of good and evil. I couldn't save her. Now, this job is dangerous. You think I am too. So be it. Maybe that makes me unfit to be a cop. If I don't save these people, nobody else will.

  Dr. Iris Campbell : [Smiles slightly]  I think we're making progress.

• Harold Finch : You might find therapy beneficial. It could provide balance.

  John Reese : Therapy doesn't work when you have to lie about everything.

  Harold Finch : Could you find a hobby or take up a sport?

  John Reese : I have a hobby: shooting people.

  John Reese : Dangerous? People are in danger. I help them.
