A War Is Coming
claudio_carvalho6 March 2024
Although heavily armed, Shaw does not hit Martine and flees with Root, who arrives at the shootout in the department store driving a motorcycle. Fusco helps them in their getaway route. The Machine delivers the number of Elias, and Reese follows Anthony and him through the boardwalk. They meet Elias' accountant and financial advisor Bruce, and Reese watches Link taking photos of Elias. Then he approaches to Elias and Anthony and tells them that Elias is in danger since the Brotherhood is hunting him down, but Elias does not seem to be worried. Soon Reese saves Elias from a hitman and joins Anthony in his protection. They meet the criminal mobster Gino, but soon they learn that he has joined the Brotherhood. Immediately after, Domenic meets Gino and he learns about Elias' accountant Bruce, and he believes finding Bruce would be the best way to capture Elias. Elias, Anthony and Reese head to an abandoned building owned by Elias where he had restored the penthouse, but the Brotherhood arrives and there is a shootout. Reese and Elias flee and meet Finch in a getaway car, but Anthony is wounded and captured by Dominic. Elias refuses to leave his friend behind and turn himself in to Domenic expecting to release Anthony. Meanwhile, Shaw's identity is compromised and Root keeps her safe. Greer believes The Machine is protecting the identity of the team.

"The Devil You Know" is another great episode of "Person of Interest", with another plot full of action. It is impressive how the skilled Shaw misses Martine, although having a heavy weapon. How Link survives with minor injuries after an explosion like that is also amazing. Fusco this time helped only a little since he called the attention of Martine when he stopped the truck where Shaw and Root were. He must keep a low profile to continue operative. The war between Elias and the Brotherhood is promising. Looking forward to seeing it on the next episodes. My vote is nine.

Warning: Spoilers
I approached this one with a sense of foreboding. Because last season's 9th episode is still fresh in my heart (RIP Carter). When the machine gave Elias' number , I was praying & excited in equal measure. So, while it didn't reach last season's corresponding episode's heights , it still showed the Strengths of this show. I mean , who else can make you emotional with a phone call among two gangsters while the main arc is focusing on the fight between 2 Machines??

I aways think that a show is defined by its characters and for a show about AI, this show definitely brings out a lot of layers in its characters. We all remember how Hersh (who was a bad ass villain in Season 2 Finale) went out like a hero in Season 3 Finale. So, Anthony ( I always thought of him as Scarface!) had his great moments before going out with a Bang!!( Literally) . Now that's the real Brotherhood. This episode just emphasizes that Team Machine isn't finished with trouble anytime soon. Samaritan and now the Brotherhood is coming for them. Watch Out Team!! I am certainly watching.

Sick of Samaritan
Ter50726 December 2014
This is more about the whole season than this one episode. Some are alright but for the most part I have to say I personal do not care for this new season at all. I liked when John and team saved different numbers each week. I don't like the addition of Samaritan. Running from Samaritan is all they do now, and it takes away from the show. And in this show it was all about the brotherhood hood, which by the way seems to know everything right away, and they are always right behind it's like magic.. It's a joke. If this show continues like this I will be less viewer. Because the addition of Samaritan changed everything might as well change the title

Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes Person of Interest tries to go the subtle way to show danger to our faces. This episode didn't have that many kneecappings, one liners from Reese or Fusco. This was Elias's episode. You may be the King of the city, but even kings are human. It was good to see Elias in this light. Scarface a.k.a. Anthony was masterful. Dominic was OK for most of the episode, but by the ending, we understand that he's no Elias, but just an extreme case of Machiavellan mentality. And, that he was able to portray just perfect. On the other hand I am eagerly waiting for Shaw to suffocate Root. The war has begun. Pawns are going to be used and thrown away. Empires will collapse. But who will rise from the ashes?

Talking Big is not substitute for ....extras!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not a big fan of POI. Some of the episodes were good but most of them are mediocre or less.

I think I liked a couple of episode this 4th season (I prefer episodes that advance the main story) but overall I have the show played on TV and I mostly checking things in my smartphone, checking to see if there is any development on the screen.

I had high hopes for this episode since the cliffhanger of the previous where Samin's cover has blown. (Plus a 9.5 average in IMDb). But...

Anyway, in this episode you get (supposedly) to see these gang bosses (3 or more) Elias, Dominic and an Italian about their power and their armies and their influence and the loyalty and...well...I'm sorry?! Where were all these? Elias was only had poor Anthony, and Dominic a couple of ...hommies! and Gino one two other guys...

Where was the feel of these BIG armies of men. Ready to die for their bosses. And control the 20,000,000 population city?? In my opinion this episode was a joke. The feeling of power is NOWHERE to be seen. It's ridiculous. Big words. San Tzu...The Romans,...The...

You only get a dreadful CGI smoke that surprisingly didn't kill the 2nd in command of Dominic only 3 meters away from the rigged safe.

This episode was a Joke. (Did I already say that?). Oh It deserved it TWICE!.
