Agent Carter deserves peoples attention. And if she cant get the respect she deserves from her co-workers, I think she deserves it from her viewers. The show is only a few episodes in now but it's already ten times better than Agents of Shield and Gotham and perhaps nearing my likeness towards Flash. It's just a completely different show and story than what we have seen from Marvel. I love the fact that it's only 8 episodes long, which means we are already almost half way through.
This week we got our first, albeit minimal, glimpse at who is presumably Leviathan but we didn't get the sense as to why he's doing what he's doing. We once again got another great Jarvis & Peggy team up. We even got both of them to open up a bit more which has been one of Peggy's problems, even with her closest friends. Steve Rogers death had a huge emotional impact on her life and most likely tarnished her willingness to get close with anyone. I continue to enjoy the interactions in the Shield office with Carter's many co-workers, though almost none of them actually respect her. I didn't find the final fight to be anything special though. In fact I thought the fight choreography seemed to rely too much on speeding it up to make it look better than what it actually is.
It seems as though next episode we will get an episode dedicated to Carter saving Rogers image. I have to say I have enjoyed this series not mentioning any outside characters that much so although it's probably unnecessary to do a Captain America episode, i'm still pretty excited. As for right now, I'm more thrilled as to how good this show has been through the first few weeks. It's consistently really solid.
