Olive Hill Media and Fresh Fish Films are financing, with Rocket Science arranging finance for international sales.
Currently starring as Susie Glass in Guy Ritchie’s acclaimed Netflix crime drama The Gentlemen, based on his same-name film, Scodelario is otherwise best known for roles in films like Crawl, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, The Maze Runner franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Moon and more. Jonas and Rudd are both known for their work on-screen with Jonas’ credits including “Camp Rock,” Scream Queens” and “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and a TV performance of “Jersey Boys Live!” Rudd is known for “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” “Only Murders In The Building,” “Knocked Up” and Marvel’s Ant-Man films.

A certain actor has been taking over Hollywood as of late, and his name is Glen Powell.
The actor, hailing from Austin, Texas, has a long list of credits to his name, with various appearances on television series over the years. But, he reached movie star status after starring in two of the biggest films of the last two years.
Both Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone but You were bonafide commercial hits, but they are far from the only series and movies of Mr. Powell's you'll want to add to your must-watch list.
Powell's acting career started with a small role in Spy Kids 3-D Game, and a few years later, he went on to star in The Great Debaters alongside Hollywood heavy hitters Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, who also directed it.
More roles would follow that, including guest stints on CSI: Miami, Rizzoli & Isles, and NCIS.

Glen Powell is a triple threat (if you count the producing part) in Richard Linklater’s “Hit Man.” Powell co-wrote, produced, and stars in the upcoming feature from Linklater, reuniting the duo after “Everybody Wants Some!!”
In their new film, Powell portrays professor Gary Johnson, “who moonlights as a fake hit man for the New Orleans Police Department. Preternaturally gifted at inhabiting different guises and personalities to catch hapless people hoping to bump off their enemies, Gary descends into morally dubious territory when he finds himself attracted to one of those potential criminals, a beautiful young woman named Madison (Adria Arjona),” per the film’s synopsis. “As Madison falls for one of Gary’s hit man personas — the mysteriously sexy Ron — their steamy affair sets off a chain reaction of play acting, deception, and escalating stakes.”

Three years have gone by since it was announced that Edgar Wright was coming on board to direct a new take on the novel The Running Man, which was written by Stephen King under his Richard Bachman pen name. The Running Man was, of course, previously turned into a film back in 1987 that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger – and even though that movie was very different from the source material, Schwarzenegger is still a tough act to follow. But now we know who’s brave enough to take on the challenge. Paramount has announced that Edgar Wright’s The Running Man is set to star Glen Powell of Top Gun: Maverick!
Wright is producing the film with Nira Park and Simon Kinberg.
King’s novel has the following description: It was the ultimate death game in a nightmare future America. The year is 2025 and reality TV has grown to the point where...

Before he was stealing hearts in Set it Up and Anyone But You, flying planes in Top Gun: Maverick, and chasing tornadoes in Twisters, Glen Powell played frat boy Chad Radwell in the Ryan Murphy drama Scream Queens. This short-lived series may have fizzled out with little fanfare in its second and final season, but for many (myself included), this is the project that first put Powell and his charming humor on our radar.
Scream Queens is a slasher comedy, set at the fictional Wallace University in season 1 and the C.U.R.E. Institute medical school in season 2, that follows the girls of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority as they try to stay alive in the midst of a killing spree. The popular girls known as the Chanels are the killer’s primary targets, but the killer isn’t afraid to take the frat boys of the Dickie Dollar Scholars down a peg either.

With American Horror Story on an extended hiatus, the FX hit teased a kiss between Emma Roberts and co-star Kim Kardashian to promote the series’ big comeback.
Now that the first episode has aired, Roberts is speaking out about it.
Roberts appeared on The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon, on Wednesday night and wasted no time telling the host about the big scene.
Throughout the American Horror Story: Delicate, Kardashian’s Siobhan has seemingly posed a significant threat to Roberts’ Anna.
Despite being Anna’s publicist, Siobhan has been shown to have ulterior motives, and the footage for the second part of the season teased as much.
While the kiss got plenty of people talking, Roberts said it wasn’t as “intense” to film as it looked.

Niecy Nash-Betts, who recently won an Emmy for her role on Netflix’s “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” has signed on to host the Los Angeles portion of next month’s Writers Guild Awards. The 2024 event, which was pushed back in the wake of the Hollywood strikes, will take place on Saturday, April 14 at the Hollywood Palladium.
“A good writer is an actors’ greatest gift,” Nash-Betts said in a statement. Added L.A. awards exec producer Hugh Fink (“Saturday Night Live”): “Niecy Nash-Betts is the dream host for this year’s WGA Awards. Her brilliant performance in ‘Dahmer’ – as the courageous woman who helped take down a serial killer who ate his victims – is surprisingly a lot like negotiating with the AMPTP.”
Benn Fleishman of Avalon Harbor Entertainment is also a producer for this year’s WGA Awards in Los Angeles. Additional presenters scheduled to appear at this year’s L.

Photograph by Courtesy of Fox Considering Jamie Lee Curtis’s first movie role was in 1978’s Halloween and that she starred in several horror movies in the early ’80s, it’s no surprise that producer Ryan Murphy had Curtis on his mind when he was creating the show Scream Queens. Murphy wrote the prominent role of Cathy Munsch specifically for Curtis and was thrilled when she agreed to join the show. Though the series wasn’t long-lived — only 23 episodes aired over its two broadcast seasons — it has taken on new life as a streaming cult classic. When the series premiered in 2015, Curtis told us how honored she was that Murphy had wanted to build the character and the show around her.(Click on the media bar below to hear Jamie Lee Curtis) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Jamie-Lee-Curtis-Scream-Queens.mp3 Scream Queens is currently streaming on Hulu.

Richard Linklater’s “Hit Man” is hitting 2024 Sundance with a West Coast premiere.
The baffling true story is adapted for the big screen by lead star Glen Powell and auteur Linklater, with the “Everybody Wants Some!” duo reuniting to co-write the script. Powell stars as a professor who poses as an assassin, falls in love with a would-be client (Adria Arjona), and loses sight of his (true) self.
The film premiered at 2023 Venice and screened at 2023 NYFF before debuting with a Spotlight premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
Per the official synopsis: “Based on a Texas Monthly profile feature by Skip Hollandsworth, ‘Hit Man’ is the somewhat true story of a fake hit man. The film adapts the profile piece about real-life faux hit man Gary Johnson but imagines a more detailed inner life that ultimately skews from the truth to create a thrilling story and psychological study on the themes of identity.

Back in the halcyon days of the early 2020s, when we were optimistic about the vaccines and our new President and the general health and stability of superhero franchises, there was a meme called the yassification trend. It basically entailed taking photos of prominent historical figures — Alexander Hamilton, for instance, or Kramer from Seinfeld — and running them through a filter that made them look heavily Botoxed, contoured, and filtered, like your most insecure friend’s Stories from her vacation.
The yassification trend was funny in that it was clearly skewering...

It’s been seven years since Scream Queens released its last episode, but the campy horror series remains a cult classic that’s referenced to this day.
That’s at least partly due to the star-studded cast that’s dominated Hollywood in the years since the show went off-air.
Centered around the likes of Emma Roberts, Lea Michele and Jamie Lee Curtis, Scream Queens had no shortage of talent. Of course, the actors have also been handsomely paid for their work both on the series and beyond.
But you might be wondering who has amassed the most impressive net worth over the years.
Earlier this week marked the show’s eighth anniversary. In honor of the occasion, we did some digging and ranked the cast by their estimated net worth. Coming in at first place, the top-earning star has the competition beat by a landslide.

Fisher, best known for her role as Star Wars’ Princess Leia, died Dec. 27, 2016, at age 60. On Wednesday, her daughter took to social media to pay tribute to Fisher by sharing a photo of herself as a child with her mom, playing in the sand at the beach.
“It has been 7 years since my mom died (but who’s counting?? Me I guess?),” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Every anniversary brings a different iteration of my grief. She gained fame as a “scream queen” over 40 years ago, but in the four decades since has proven her versatility in a range of genres. Award-winning activist, author and daughter of two film icons, Jamie Lee Curtis has built an impressive resume over several mediums. And 2022 was an especially wonderful year for her with an acclaimed performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” that brought her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Curtis was born in Santa Monica on November 22, 1958 to actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. After finishing school, she briefly pursued an education in law, but decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps instead. In 1977, she was given a small role in an episode of “Quincy M.E.,” followed by several more small parts and a role in the short-lived “Operation Petticoat,” based on the film which had starred her father. The first installment of Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story anthology series for FX will star Josh Andrés Rivera as Aaron Hernandez and Patrick Schwarzenegger as fellow former NFL star Tim Tebow. The season is based on the podcast Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc from the Boston Globe and Wondery.
The project reunites Schwarzenegger with Murphy; the actor’s first TV role was on Murphy’s Scream Queens.
These are no new developments that happened during the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike; both castings were done in early 2023 but never confirmed by FX. Angelica Ross never needed Hollywood.
Long before she got famous on Pose — burning up the screen playing ballroom diva Candy Ferocity, who stole season three by starring in an episode set at her own funeral — she was already an accomplished activist and self-taught computer coder who founded TransTech Summit, which helps trans people find careers in tech. But Ross’ natural talents for acting took her far in Hollywood: After Pose, she transitioned to another Ryan Murphy production at FX, American Horror Story, where she held her own among vets like Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd in the slasher-themed 1984 season of the anthology series. But all was not copacetic, as Ross revealed this week in a flurry of X (formerly known as Twitter) posts and Instagram Live broadcasts.

As FX’s American Horror Story enters its 12th season, three things set apart its latest baby, Delicate, from its big siblings. One is the fact that it’s the first story based on a novel — Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition, a Rosemary’s Baby riff about an actress, Anna (Emma Roberts), trying to conceive via IVF. Another is that it’s the first season not to have co-creator Ryan Murphy as showrunner; instead, AHS newbie Halley Feiffer (American Crime Story: Impeachment) is fulfilling that role.
In combination, they signal a potential for American Horror Story to head in a cleaner and clearer direction, away from its long-standing reputation for sloppy plotting — but not too far from its gift for building buzz, since the third standout element is the headline-worthy stunt casting of Kim Kardashian as Anna’s Bff and publicist Siobhan. Actor Mary Elizabeth Winstead worked alongside Roseanne alum John Goodman for the first time in 10 Cloverfield Lane. Like many, she grew up watching Goodman, and had a difficult time getting over being in a film with the veteran star.

10 Cloverfield Lane showed Goodman in a different light. Because of one of his most iconic roles in Roseanne, many were used to seeing Goodman as the caring husband he portrayed in the sitcom. His Cloverfield Lane character, however, couldn’t have been any more different. The 2016 horror feature showed Goodman playing a disturbed and deluded kidnapper who traps his co-star, Winstead, in a bunker.
Winstead asserted that the real Goodman was not too unlike his Roseanne counterpart. Which sometimes made it all the more difficult to work alongside...

Jeff Franklin, the creator of Full House, is looking back at how the show began and recalled a moment when John Stamos almost backed out of the series.
The writer-producer-director appeared on the first episode of Dave Coulier’s new podcast, Full House Rewind, which they dedicated to the late Bob Saget.
While talking about the show’s first table read with the actors, Franklin noted that there was a “room full of studio and network executives and everybody who could possibly be there. They were all there to see Stamos, I think.”
But Franklin recalled that “Jodie [Sweetin] just stole the whole thing” with her humor, which he said left Stamos upset because he was afraid the younger stars were going to steal the spotlight.
Coulier chimed in and said he remembers “walking out with John” afterward when the Scream Queens actor told him, “The whole show’s gonna be her.

Marvel Studios and DC’s film studios, along with several actors, will be sitting out of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. But the fans are not.
While it’s still early down here in America’s Finest City, attendees are already lining up, not simply for Hall H but for their Wednesday night or Thursday entrance to the trade-show floor. The outdoor tents and rails for queues are set up and remain in place outside the San Diego Convention Center’s Hall H lawn.
Despite the ratcheting down of several TV networks panels to mere screenings, one on-the-ground Csc Security staffer at the confab says the convention is preparing for enormous crowds “like any other Comic-Con.” The walkways along the Hilton side of Hall H that are fenced off to...

Super producer Ryan Murphy, who has produced and written iconic projects such as Glee, American Horror Story and Scream Queens, is leaving Netflix for Disney to reconcile with his old friend, Dana Walden. Murphy worked with Walden when he was under contract with 20th Century Fox TV when she helmed the division.
Walden, a good friend of Murphy’s, is now the chairwoman of Disney Entertainment.
Murphy’s agreement with Netflix doesn’t finish until the end of June and when it does, he will be able to work again with his longtime partner, FX’s John Landgraf, who serves as the chairman of the organization, which is also part-owned by Disney.
ABC, another Disney network, paid for ownership of 9-1-1, a drama that Murphy developed for Fox in 2018.
The choice to exit Netflix for Disney comes five years after he joined the streamer in a blockbuster $300 million agreement.

It's rare for ABC to keep shows on the bubble into the summer, but fans of The Rookie: Feds are pondering the future of the Niecy Nash drama series.
In a new interview with TV Line, Nash revealed that she's still in the dark about whether the beloved series will return for a second.
"I haven't heard anything, I'm the same as you. I'm a lady in waiting," the Scream Queens alum told the outlet.
"I don't know the fate of that show."
"But I do know that in the same article I read that said that it was on the bubble, it also said that I was one of the most sought-after actresses at this time," the 53-year-old added.
"So we'll see. But I love my job at Rookie: Feds."
"I love the people that I work with, so being able to do another season of it would be like heaven to me.
