One of the biggest questions surrounding Wonder Woman 1984 is the return of Steve Trevor. Chris Pine's character died at the end of Wonder Woman, but do you remember how he died? It's possible that the manner of Steve's death (or "death") will play a major role in explaining his return, so let's recap how he originally died and the events that got him to the point of making that heroic sacrifice.
Steve comes close to death several times over the course of the movie, and it's one of those near-death experiences that changes his life by introducing him to Diana, who pulls him from the water when his plane crashes off the coast of Themyscira. After learning about World War I from him, Diana insists on accompanying him back to the mortal world, believing as she does that the war has been caused by Ares and that she, with...

A reported Blizzard cancellation sheds light on the future of Diablo and Overwatch.
A new report by Kotaku suggests that Blizzard abandoned work on a StarCraft Fps game in order to focus more resources on the development of Diablo IV and (surprisingly) Overwatch 2. According to the report, the StarCraft Fps was described as a Battlefield-like game known internally as Ares. The game reportedly began as something of an experiment designed to see what kind of StarCraft game could be created using the Overwatch engine.
Those working on an early version of the game reportedly got about as far as designing a player-controlled Terran marine who could shoot down Zergs. The plan was to start working on playable Zerg characters.
Then, despite claims that the project was actually progressing quite nicely, Blizzard management began to inform staff that it was canceling the project and intended to move...

Netflix has started production on “Ares,” its first Dutch original series, the streaming giant announced Tuesday. Filming is taking place in Amsterdam, where Netflix’s European headquarters have been based since 2015. “Ares” will launch on the platform later this year.
An eight-part psychological horror, “Ares” stars Jade Olieberg, Tobias Kersloot, Lisa Smit, Robin Boissevain, and Frieda Barnhard. It is directed by Giancarlo Sanchez and Michiel ten Horn with script development run by Michael Leendertse for production company Pupkin.
Plans for a then-untitled first Dutch production from Pupkin were first announced in April 2018. Erik Barmack, Netflix’s vice president of international original series, said at the time that a Dutch original had been on Netflix’s “wish list” for some time.
Created by Pieter Kuijpers, the series enters the world of a secret student society in the heart of Amsterdam where best friends Rosa (Olieberg) and Jacob (Kersloot) surrender to a world of wealth and power.

The (Norse) mythology surrounding Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder has been explored a lot over the trilogy of Thor movies we’ve seen so far. One of the most important players conspicuous by their absence, though, is Beta Ray Bill, a fan favourite ally of the Asgardian’s from the comics. That’s unfortunate, too, as audiences would love to see the character on the big screen and, as it turns out, so would at least one important figure behind the scenes of the McU.
While talking with CinemaBlend, Thor: Ragnarok‘s VFX lead Jake Morrison expressed a desire to have Beta Ray Bill brought into the franchise in the future. As a horse-faced alien, the character would likely be created via CGI and Morrison would love to get a chance to work on him. In particular, he’d like to recreate a classic comic book moment.
