Hommage to Truffaut. Obviously!

I saw this commercial in the theater years ago and I had to LOL, causing some in the audience to look my way. I think I was the only one who got it that he was doing a scene from Truffaut's "Day for Night/La Nuit Americaine".

"Frangement, je ne te comprends pas, t'es bizarre!"

And very clever too!

Warning: Spoilers
"American Express: My Life. My Card" is a 2-minute commercial advertising American Express as the title already says. Wes Anderson appears in this one as an actor playing himself and Jason Schwartzman is in it as usual and Waris Ahluwalia has also worked with Anderson on several occasions. You can see from the style that it is a Wes Anderson movie, but it's not really interesting or smart in my opinion. I have seen many better commercials from far lesser known directors. I wish I could say this being a failure is due to Anderson's lack of experience, but actually, by 2004, he already had directed some of his best-known works. And, hands down, he simply isn't a talented actor at all. I cannot recommend this little movie here. Nothing memorable to see.
