Not good enough overall

"Prego" is an American English-language short film from 2015. this one was written and directed by Usher Morgan and released back in 2015, so it is still a relatively new work. The best thing about it is probably lead actress Katie Vincent as she shines when her character confronts a former one-night stand about her (and his) pregnancy. There are 2 or 3 funny moments, like when he calls her lady and she realizes that he does not even remember her name. But as a whole I was not impressed unfortunately. The whole story takes place at the table of a cafe/restaurant. The weakest aspect is perhaps the ending because honestly from the way he was behaving, it was 100% clear he would try to get away. How can the female protagonist be so naive not only to not realize, but even to smile and think all is somewhat good now, especially with how critical she really is for the entire rest of the film. So yeah I believe from the setting and premise, there was the possibility of a much better film than it actually turned out to be. That#s why I give it a thumbs-down overall and I hope Morgan (born in Israel) will step things up soon in the future. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed during these 13 minutes were the performances.

a comedy. not original, not special. but real useful. as reflection of contemporary life. after the end of film, two things are real significant : the look of Katie Vincent, doing an admirable role and the right portrait of a representative Peter Pan syndrome young man of Taso Mikroulis. not the last, its basic virtue is the predictability. you knows each answer and each Mark reaction. and the end, the end is real, real strange. because it is the expected one. and this is the fact for the small desire to be the other. his returning. and, after the first shock, the talk of two future parents. but this is it .
