Silly maybe but very engrossing episode of Gotham.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not a huge fan of Barbara played by Erin Richards but she plays her part here in another thrilling episode which though silly and daft in places is corking towards the finale.

After falling for a trap by Barbara Jim Gordon fins himself and Leslie held at gunpoint by a deranged Barbara in the church he and Barbara were going to marry in before he met Leslie.

Whilst this goes on Galavan tries to persuade Bruce Wayne to hand over his company Wayne Enterprises to him in exchange for details on the person who killed Bruce's parents. We also see Ed Nygma try and bury Miss Kringle's body in the woods but he is interrupted by a hunter so kills him too, just after he finds a very injured Cobblepot in a cabin.

After a heated exchange Gordon gets the gun off Barbara but she manages to escape upstairs after Galavan's sister Tabitha turns up with others and tries to kill Jim but he shoots them and injures Tabitha before a confrontation in the church's upper floor with Barbara that ends with Barbara falling out the window and is badly hurt.

We see afterwards Jim arrest Galavan for his part in the abduction of the Mayor, this is just after Bruce declines Galavan's offer for his company but he still doesn't know who killed his parents.

As I said before I have never been much of a Barbara fan but I must admit she was on true psycho mode in this episode but as it went on you started to feel slightly sympathetic towards her especially in the final moments(a lot more than before)and Richards plays her beautifully and it won't be the last we see of her.

Other great performers were Ben McKenzie as Gordon(torn between two beautiful ladies),Donal Logue as his loyal partner Bullock,Morena Baccarin as Leslie,Cory Michael Smith as Nygma becoming The Riddler and as always Sean Pertwee as Gotham's funniest butler Alfred.

As an episode it was thrilling and often gripping even if you look past the stupid mistake the police make in falling for Barbara's obvious trap but the afterwards showdown in the church is one of the shows best sequences yet to me that is both exciting and quite funny in places before a corking shootout leads to a final confrontation between Gordon and his jealous psycho ex.Other good moments include Ed trying to bury his dead girlfriend and then the hunter he has to kill('what do I do with you' is something I think he said)and the meetings between Bruce and Galavan which show the true manipulative ways of the bad guy trying to take Bruce's life away from him bit by bit.

Look past the daft trick the cops fell for and you have a gripping and thoroughly enjoyable episode with Barbara on psycho form,Ed truly becoming his alter ego, action packed finale and the slimy Galavan brought down at last(for now at least).

Barbara is/was? doing some fine work!

Warning: Spoilers
Alright so we begin the episode where Barbara wakes up from a nightmare and sees that Mayor Galavan gave her a gift (probably her wedding dress). And she hears that it is finally time to kill James Gordon! And the way how she tries it is B-E-AUTIFUL!

So after a few minutes in the Episode, You see Barbara in the police station with her hands above her head. Wants to talk to James only in the interrogation room and wanted to show James something what was obviously a trap. Of course they fell for it by playing her part and letting her think she is in control. So they get ambushed. James gets captured (apparently they also got Leslie, how?). And there she was. In her wedding dress but instead of flowers, she was holding a 2 barrel shotgun. You could really see on her face that she was excited that she could finally kill James. After some talking and trying to play some mind games with both James and Leslie by telling that James is not an honest man. James finally escaped this madness by releasing himself from the ropes behind his chair and now had the overhand by pointing the shotgun at Barbara. The police arrive, she runs away, James is chasing her, sees her there standing there with a knife in her hand and starts running to James trying to kill him. They have a small fight and break the window. Barbara falls down but she is still alive because the bushes under her saved her fall. She is badly hurt though.

Barbara did tell James about that Mayor Aubrey James is still alive. So they rescue him at the docks.

Bruce Wayne gets an offer from Mayor Galavan. You sell a part of the Wayne Interprises to me and you get to know who is behind the killing of your parents. David Mazouz (Bruce) Showed his potential as an actor here. You could see that he was troubling and thinking about signing the papers or not. At the moment he wanted to sign it he changed his mind. Few moments later James walks in with a handful of cops and tells Alfred to get Bruce to safety. James punches Galavan in the face and then arrests him.

Nygma is in the woods burying Miss Kringle. Wanted to share his last thoughts with a glass of wine. He gets interrupted by a guy. Guy sees something in the chest where Miss Kringle her body parts are in and starts asking What is that?. He gets a shovel in his neck and bye bye random guy. After some walking back to his car to get more tools so he could actually bury the random guy he sees that someone stole his sandwich. He later finds out that the guy that stole is our beloved Penguin.

Some + and - points!

+ Erin Richards (shout outs to her as Barbara)

+ Church scene

+ Galavan finally caught

+ Nygma is slowly transforming into The Riddler. Without his evil mind twin.

  • The obvious trap and still falling for it when they know that it is a trap.

I will give this episode a 8.8/10

We all knew the ending
heyes22211 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I did enjoy watching this weeks episode of Gotham. Three stories were told, and two of them were disappointing. Starting with the main story; officer Gordon and Barbra. We all knew it was a trap, but because we knew it was going to happen would make it a non-trap? The church scene was very intense but lacked a "WOW" factor. We all knew Barbra wouldn't kill her or pursue further with Gordon. It seemed like a wasted plot line, The exciting part was her death scene. Only to be taking away at the end. (maybe she is getting sent to Wayne Enterprises? I hope so) Bruce Wayne signing his company over to Galavan. Bruce was debating on signing his company over for the identity of his parents killer. But in the end he didn't... then They arrest Galavan? I am okay with Galavan gone, his story was only good with Jerome and Penguin on camera with him. The slowest story line but best ending was Dr. Nygma. He meets penguin which could be a very good plot line or horrific tire fire.

Both seasons of Gotham have been great. They fixed some small issues with the first season and it seems to be going on the right path. This has been the worst episode of Season 2 so far, but has promising moments for the future!

(I am not the best writer but I am a fan of this TV show, so bear with me)
