Highly entertaining interview with character actor Michael Ironside who discusses his work on David Cronenberg's SCANNERS. He starts off talking about becoming an actor and then we get into the making of the film including how he got the part. From here he talks about various aspects of the production including the re-shoots, working with Jennifer O'Neil and an interesting segment dealing with him having to leave Canada because he wasn't able to make a living. If you're a fan of Ironside then you'll certainly enjoy this candid interview that has him telling a great number of wonderfully entertaining stories. I thought the highlights involved the actual topic of money and how little he was getting paid on movies like this and VISITING HOURS. There's also some great talk about the special effects work and what all he had to do for that.
