Review: Hopefully the director will be tickling audiences at Sundance someday
spacechair20 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Well, I'm a Bob sympathizer myself, even though BILLIE BOB JOE is a piece of anti-Bob trash. (I kid, I kid.) Overall, I enjoyed it. I didn't have my existence while watching it (see: the viewing experience of Prometheus and Jupiter Ascending) and found myself smiling through a lot of it. The acting is good - not great, not bad - for which I commend the casting director (if you had one). That being said, some of the interviews - the want a mint? girl comes to mind - had bad line readings and could have been better. I really, really liked the music. Like, if there was an official soundtrack for this movie, I would buy it. Not being high budget didn't hurt the film - as a matter of fact, it may have helped it a tad. Besides the parts in the board room, the quality realistically wouldn't be Hollywood- blockbuster-level, and helped sell me on the idea that they, too, were making their documentary on a low budget. BILLIE BOB JOE is funny and enjoyable, complete with an emotional and unexpected ending. It's definitely worth a watch, or maybe two.

A movie within a movie
webwolf200211 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Joe Kowalski, and the cast and crew deserve a huge clap for this film. This film took a lot of thinking timing, and generosity of the actors playing as themselves as Bob and Joe conflict experts. Mara Wilson being one of them, which is how I found out about this film in the first place. It is a great everyone should see. The fact that you can make a great comedy about two sisters making a documentary about a Bob and Joe conflict is genius. I wouldn't be shocked if the team got award for it. Joe Kowalski (Writer, Directer. Producer.) Bridget Messaros & Macey Heslet play as sisters in the movies. Danny Kosco & Sam Tosco help the sisters make the Documentary. I can't wait to see what this talented group of people do next. If you want to see the film. Go to the official website on the movies IMDb Page. Then follow the instructions. You will not be sorry. I am glad I found this film.

Family Friendly, Cute, Funny, and LOTS of CLEVELAND!
ceruleanseaelly-2633321 August 2015
A very cute story. Very well written with a lot of humor, yet maintains appeal to all audiences. Definitely family friendly film! The only change I would have liked would have been if the montages were shorter, speeding up the story a little. However, this movie definitely highlights the beauty of the city of Cleveland and the montages could be used as an advertisement by the city's public relations and tourism departments for sure. The relationships between the main characters was interesting. However, by the end of the movie I wanted to know a little more and have more revealed about what was coming next for the characters. I think there is definite room for a sequel. Either way, I look forward to seeing more Pogie Joe Productions in the future.

Very Fascinating Idea
dixonahtera17 August 2015
I watched this film at it's premiere at the Cedar Lee Theater and I must say that I was quite impressed. It had a very comedic feel to the concept and that was demonstrated very well through the use of the cinematography and the script was well-written with great dialogue. I know a member of the crew, and he and his team put a lot of time and commitment into the project, and it definitely paid off in the long run. Also, I was also very fascinated by the choice of subjects and actors used in the story definitely had a massive appeal to the audience in gathering their attention and leaving them on the edge of their seats throughout the entire story. In conclusion, this story had some interesting takes on a very interesting concept, and deserves a ton of good recognition.
