I go for months avoiding documentaries like medicine and then I watch one and realise how much I enjoy them. I wonder, why have I been avoiding them, they are interesting, entertaining AND informative. Then I watch something like TALES FROM THE NATIONAL PARKS and I can't believe it took whole minutes to move to something else.
Wow, I criticised the readers of audiobooks as being flat and dreary like a 50s documentary. This was like that. DEADly. I can feel my whole body being taken over by a terrible dreariness.
Who casts these things? The Brits are unbeatable when they hit their strides, but when they SUCK, it's slapped-in-the-face-with-an-old-wet-fish time.
