- Harry's luck is put to the test when he and Suri hunt for the man who killed Freddy Lau. Dark forces appear to be closing in on Harry though, as Eve reappears with a warning and D.S. Winter receives a tip-off about Harry's links to Lau.
- Though Grey escapes Harry is hailed a hero for rescuing his colleagues from the river - by all except Superintendent Winter, suspicious of Harry's connection to Freddie. Harry traces a plane hired by Lily-Anne for Grey's supposed escape which is full of money, though Lily-Anne denies any crime. Then through Harry's wheeler-dealer brother Rich Clayton meets a forger of passports who leads him to arresting Grey, though he is taken aback when Anna proves to be defending Grey on the murder charges. Harry once more encounters Eve, who saves him from a gunman and tells him he must use his lucky bracelet for the general good, not personal gain. Back home Harry works out that every good thing the bracelet brings him seems to be counter-balanced by something bad, especially when a colleague collapses after Harry has done a good deed for a woman at his Gamblers Anonymous group..—don @ minifie-1
- Harry rescues Ben Grady that is unconscious under the boat in the bottom of the river and is considered a hero by the press. However, Winter believes he let Kevin Grey escape on purpose. Harry and Suri find hidden money in the plane hired by Lily-Anne where Grey would flee, but she lawyer-up and denies any crime. Then Harry and Suri visit Harry's brother Rich Clayton, who tells who might have forged documents for Grey.
