- [a motorcycle cop has pulled Dracula over for running a red light]
- Count Dracula: What seems to be the trouble officer?
- Motorcycle Cop: You ran that light back there going like a bat out of hell.
- Count Dracula: That light was yellow. I know the color red when I see it.
- Motorcycle Cop: Now you guys get one of these $20,000 jobs, you think you own us all - body and soul.
- Count Dracula: Don't you understand? I am offering you something that no one else gets - immortality. Like the eternal sea... think of it, the ceaseless tide. I know you are beginning to feel it.
- Mary Gibbons: No!
- Count Dracula: Mary, do not struggle. You are partially mine already.
- Mary Gibbons: No... it can't be. I got away!
- Count Dracula: I let you go, but not before I placed my mark upon you.
- [Mary's hand involuntary touches her throat]
- Count Dracula: When you fully comprehend the gift that only I can give, I'll be waiting.
