The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday announced the appointment of Maer Roshan to co-editor-in-chief, sharing the role with editorial director Nekesa Mumbi Moody.
This augmentation to leadership comes as the longstanding entertainment brand continues to evolve and expand its ever-growing business. Both Roshan and Moody report to Penske Media chief operating officer George Grobar and are based in Los Angeles. Maer will begin in his new role Sept. 25.
Roshan is an award-winning editor, writer and media entrepreneur with a long record of creating exceptional content. He joins the team from Los Angeles Magazine, where he served as editor in chief since 2019.

The Daytime Emmys aren’t over yet. Three days after awarding some of its top categories during a pre-taped ceremony on CBS, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has now announced the nominees for the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Children’s & Animation and Lifestyle categories.
The remainder of the year’s Daytime Emmys will be celebrated in two live-streamed events on July 17 (children’s and animated programming) and July 18 (lifestyle). As part of an agreement between the East Coast-based NATAS and the West Coast-based Television Academy, effective this year all children’s programming is now the domain of the Daytime Emmys.

SundanceTV has an excited new summer lineup. The network just announced the premiere dates for their new TV shows: The Name of the Rose, Rosehaven, Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter, and No One Saw a Thing.
Based on the novel by Umberto Eco, The Name of the Rose (May 23rd at 10 p.m. Et/Pt) "follows the Franciscan monk William of Baskerville (John Turturro) and his novice Adso von Melk (Damian Hardung) as they arrive at a secluded monastery in the Alps. There they become witnesses to a series of mysterious murders."
