The WHITE COLLAR of its day (sort of).

Personally, I was surprised to even find this listed on IMDb!

I vaguely remember seeing this on TV, when NBC premiered it. And, it was an entertaining time-filler for that particular night. But, to paraphrase what I noted above, it was obvious to me--even then--that this was meant to be a cross between CHARLIE'S ANGELS (The Original Series) and SWITCH (w/Robert Wagner and Eddie Albert), which were probably the two most watched non-Quinn Martin cop shows of the day.

As I recall the basic premise (which was merely stated rather than depicted...due to time and budget constraints, I'm sure), Craig Stevens played Marcus Cabot. A widower-millionaire who committed embezzlement rather than suffer the indignity of publicly declaring bankruptcy. But, somehow, the Treasury Dept. found out and busted him. Yet, rather than send him to prison, they made a top-secret deal with him. He could keep his freedom. In return, however, he would have to use his socio-economic connections to help them nab con artists, money launderers, and other greedy miscreants.

Towards that end, he was given a professional undercover agent who would publicly serve as chauffeur, to Cabot and his two nubile daughters, while privately serving as both parole officer and bodyguard.

Unfortunately, I honestly can't remember who their first (and, in hindsight, only) target was. Heck! I can't even remember if Dirk Benedict played the "chauffeur" or the Chief Bad Guy!! That, however, is probably a mixed blessing.

Hence, only a nine as opposed to a perfect ten.
