These 4.5 minutes are the official music video for Aimee Mann's song "Save Me" from over 15 years ago. The song was nominated for an Oscar, but lost to Phil Collin's "Tarzan" entry. The reason for the nomination may have been that it was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who also did "Magnolia", the pretty famous movie the song is directly linked to. The cast for this music video has to bee seen with caution. It's all scenes from the movie with the actors listed in here. And honestly, I find Mann's voice not particularly strong and that's why it surprises me even more that this one was so successful with the Academy. Anyway, watch the movie first and then decide if you like the song and want to check it out on its own. I was underwhelmed. Not recommended.
