AMERICAN JOHNS is a good short film. I stumbled across this on Station 6 on ROKU.
This film about an escort who, while having s&m play with a john, has him die on her watch and thus she flees the scene. She didn't intend for this, it was just a horrible accident. And now she's being hounded the memory of what's happened as well as Detective with his own agenda.
Tightly wound in 11 minutes, this film written & directed by C. L. Hoffa and based on a novella by (writer/director) Christopher L. Golon, is very effective and oddly disturbing.
The lead actress who plays Melissa, the escort, is perfect for the role. The Detective is also properly cast.
This is worth a watch!
