Killer, tight short film. It is a touching, inspiring story about what's really important in life. I saw this movie at the Chain NYC Film Festival-playing with a bunch of other short films. This one built suspense for me since I really cared what happens to these characters. All the actors had a real sense of authenticity but the little girl pretty much steals it. I thought they used the locations really well. It created a realistic atmosphere for a working poor mood. I also thought the music played a big part when there wasn't dialogue. The characters really stayed with me. Solid film-making and a touching story.

Working Poor shows the lives of the invisible people

This short film shows what a talented filmmaker can do with a very low budget. The characters are credible and flawed. It is well acted and has a real sense of place. And most importantly, you care about the characters! Good work John.
