Okay then
After the initial episode i found myself a little disappointed. None of the characters stood out for me as particularly interesting and i couldn't help but compare them to greats like Lorne Malvo, Hanzee Dent, Otto Gerhardt and Lester Nygaard. But that was a mistake on my part, jumping to a conclusion without letting the show expand in the slightest. Episode 2 and i was back to being hooked, As the characters develop i find myself more and more interested in them. The cinematography was as good as ever, Beautiful shots along with brilliant scores, decent acting and as ever great storytelling. All in all i have to say that from what i have seen thus far i have faith that this season of Fargo will continue tradition in being one of the best shows on our TV screens, I'm itching for the next episode.

Still a fan

Warning: Spoilers
As most of the other reviewers I found the first 2 episodes extremely slow and kept wondering how is thing going to unfold. I keep looking for the Peggy character who walks through life, creating havoc all around her with no clue, nor care what happens to those in her path. I don't see a "Typhoid Mary" in this season.I don't see a clearly evil main character except for the Englishman with the very very bad teeth- scary enough in itself .

Possible Spoiler The series has already taken a twist with one death, so it seems that to continue to watch will make this season worth watching . End of Possible Spoiler

I had never seen Ewan McGregor in any role so I looked him up in IMDb and saw what he looks like and I cannot fine a trace of his looks in his 2 characters. The Sci-Fi element, I believe is going to pop up,, remember in Season 2, and possible before , the flying saucer at the end that no one wants to talk about

Lots of Bad Guys
Hitchcoc10 May 2017
What how intrigued me for the third time in this series is that you have an incredible confluence of really bad people. Mixed in are the dullards and the overblown egos that think they have some control. We have those Ukrainians running the show like something out of Kafka, the brothers facing off, never really seeing each other. Then there's that psychotic woman. And, we know that the female police officer really knows her stuff and will be stifled by the hot shot police chief. The parking lot kings get moved in on and will potentially become billionaires. On paper. But a lot is still in the dark, so we get the great opportunity to see how all this gets intertwined. Once again, excellent cinematography, maybe the best on television.

Here we go...
Dreviews168 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Alright, so after the slightly eased up start of the first episode, we finally have things pacing up. Best thing was how the different plot-lines shaped up, things became clearer. First of all, now we sort of have an inkling as to who the old-man might have been, and I guess my guess in previous episode was wrong. (Thankfully!) Second, we move more into this mysterious Vargas guy and his thugs. One thing about this series is that the villains (Or henchmen, if you may, Mike Milligan and kitchen brothers) are always somehow crafted in a manner, so as to bestow upon them eccentricities largely unseen in the usual right hand men of movies. Rather than being straight- laced killing machines, here they are mixtures of many variants, thus adding a tone of comical horror (Oh! Katyusha after disposing off the lawyer). Another aspect which I loved about this show was the clumsiness which made the sequences realistic and fun in the last season. Some creators want to move their actions as soon as possible, so focusing on little details is oft (the bench cleaning sequence when the twins meet for the apology farce) not much of a concern, rather the focus is on words spoken and action on the screen. Well, this series does seem to focus on small, minute mishaps in real life. They do a couple of things, draw in on character flaws and give an element of realism to interactions and sequences. Esp. the Sy scene was real fun to watch, when he intends to intimidate Ray by bludgeoning his corvette, ends up slipping and slamming some other peoples' vehicles and nearly ending up in a hospital himself. Similarly, the interactions of Vargas with the guard. Both go a long way in establishing their characters. Then, there are the mysteries that still remain, like grand-pa's past and (funny as it may sound and I'm being speculative) the non- functioning of computers (got bugged?) as soon as they try to press enter on "VM Varga". Also, why don't the doors open for the chief? Pretty nice, easy way to lighten up things.

Fargo: S3E2 "The Principal of Restricted Choice" Review - King Cadmium
kingcadmium28 March 2022
Gloria deals with the aftermath of a crime, Vargas makes a move, and Ray and Nikki move on to Plan B.

What I Liked:

The cinematography is solid, and each scene perfectly implements its well-crafted and memorable music score. On top of that, each actor gives a strong performance.

V. M. Varga is an intriguing character, stealing every scene he's in, and I will be fascinated to see what unfolds with him this season.

What I Disliked:

Nikki and Ray's storyline is noticeably less enjoyable than anything else this season. While no fault of the actors, the material they have to work with isn't very interesting.

Overall:

Fargo delivers a high-quality second episode, an improvement from the premiere. One can only surmise this season will continue to improve moving forward.

Who's the A** Now?
ThomasDrufke27 April 2017
Last week Fargo put together quite the premiere episode. Setting up each individual storyline enough to where we can potentially piece some of the puzzle together. How much of this season will follow along the same path that the first two did? I'm not sure, but I can't wait to see how it unfolds. With that said, the second episode was a slower and more methodical approach than last week. No one died, for one. But there also wasn't a ton of movement on Gloria's investigation into her step-father's murder, and the Stussy brothers shared the same conflict as they did last week. The episode felt more like the aftermath of last week's debacle than a new story on its own. Nonetheless, it will always be entertaining to me to watch Ewan McGregor navigate acting against himself with two completely different characters like Emit and Ray. If nothing else, this season will no doubt distinguish itself by providing an entirely different family dynamic than we have had the past two seasons. Speaking of the past seasons, we got our first glimpse into who are most certainly the new crime fighting duo of Yuri and Meemo. In the movie & first two seasons we've had the pleasure of watching two strange humans delight our screens with humor and crime, and I think these two are no different. Hopefully, these are only a few of more casting additions to this already astonishingly good cast. In all, I wasn't overly thrilled with this outing, but it's still better than 70% of everything else on television.

So hard to follow. Actors are not as engaging as the first 2 seasons. Also the soundtrack has just disappeared for some reason. Not enjoying this at all

Yurii Gurka character
ukrshch-6287319 December 2022
I like this series, very interesting to watch.

I watched first and second season and it's one best series so far.

But, what pissed me off In the third season - is having a character Yurii Gurka, which is from Ukraine, and putting a russian music when he appears in the parking scene... "well done", "bravo".

I don't like Ukrainian character being shown as crime element and evil, but when you decided to do it, at least, make it right. Dig a little deeper, it really shows you dont know the sibject.

Otherwise, what is the purpose in doing this? Do you want to show Ukrainans and russians being same and equal, or what? Awful, very disappointed.
