As a big admirerer of Cham Syndulla from the extended universe, I was excited to see what his presence to bring to the table in this episode. For the most part, this character didn't remotely remind me of the Cham that I read about and saw in the previous series. I found him to be extremely arrogant and more egotistical than he has been before, and I didn't necessarily like that. I thought the last act brought a redemption to his character, but not enough to safe the episode for me. I really loved Hera's arc, though. There were moments of true sorrow whenever she spoke with her father, and the fact that native accent came out when she was in a deep discussion with him. Most of the episode was unfortunately centered on a weird mission that I didn't necessarily care about, and didn't understand why the crew would care about, but as the plot orders them to, they obliged. I do hope that they'll get back on track soon, as I am starting to miss the more focused narrative of the series. I get that these are there to develop the characters, and that is fine, but I do really miss the story at this point, so here's hoping that we get back to that soon.
