'Be Cool Scooby Doo' really did not appeal to me on paper at first, having been put off by the animation style. Like has been said before though, this reviewer is glad that she gave it a chance as a big fan of the Scooby Doo franchise, as despite taking a bit of time to find its feet and with no episode being perfect it for me is quite a lot of fun with plenty to like about most of the episodes. The franchise is no stranger to wedding themed stories, 'The Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show's' "Wedding Bell Boos" immediately springing to mind and that show at its best.

"I Scooby Dooby Do" was another very enjoyable and very good outing of 'Be Cool Scooby Doo'. Didn't think it was one of the best ones of the show, do think that a few of the Mystery Inc characters individually have been better used in other episodes and my view on the animation still stands. "I Scooby Dooby Do" scores hugely in the humour department though, the mystery delivers on the fun and atmosphere and most of the character writing is fine.

Flawless "I Scooby Dooby Do" isn't. The character animation is still off model and the colours garish, the animation has always looked rushed and unintentionally creepy in even the best episodes and all that is here (though worse in other episodes).

Velma is very annoying here, with the episode going way too far with her stompiness. Which was not very funny anyway and became very repetitive and silly. Really wish as well that Scooby had more to do, he is wasted here.

The other characters aren't. Am continuing to adore Daphne's quirkiness and that some of her original character traits have been refreshingly exaggerated, her weddings analysis is a writing highlight. Even better is Shaggy, who is not only incredibly funny but also very cute (especially that end speech) and relatable. Could relate actually to his fear of wedding speeches. There are so many great character moments, not just the weddings analysis, Shaggy's speech and his fear of weddings, but also the hilarious bedroom scene, one of Fred's funniest moments with his ascot and the plate throwing.

Mystery-wise, "I Scooby Dooby Do" is filled to the brim with energy and is not over simple or slight or too crowded or confusing. The reveal is one of the show's cleverest and a unique one, after some very obvious ones it is nice to see a few complete surprises. The ghost is very creepy and cool. The music has groove and atmosphere, while the writing is seldom less than very amusing (only with Velma and the stompiness does it miss) and is smart. Have no issues with the voice acting.

Overall, very enjoyable. 8/10.
