The film was ready to be shot with Zana Marjanovic as the protagonist when she realized she was pregnant with her first son, Alec. Though Zana herself and others insisted that the film be shot with another actor in the role of Edith, Joshua Sinclair, the film's Producer and Director decided to wait until the birth of her child. What's the use of making a movie about empathy and compassion, one in which the birth of a child signals the saving of a life, of a future, if the filmmakers are not willing to respect the family of the lady who was born to play this role.
