The Harry Potter franchise made worldwide stars of its main three actors, who portray Harry, Hermione and Ron. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson seem to be in sight after the last Hp movie was released in 2011, while the fate of Rupert Grint, who played the most awkward and the youngest son of the Weasley family, is lesser known.
It turns out that after starring in Harry Potter, which was quite a challenge to Grint, he preferred to explore indie films and take the unexpectedly extravagant roles.
His first post-Potter project was the 2012 war drama Into the White, and the actor’s feisty character was definitely a far cry from Ron Weasley.
This trend continued in the 2013 biopic Cbgb, where Grint reunited with the Severus Snape actor, Alan Rickman, with them playing drastically different roles they had in Hp. Besides, that year is remarkable for the actor’s appearance in Charlie Countryman.

Rupert Grint may be a pop culture staple for his work as a child, but the "Harry Potter" star is low-profile on social media, selective about the projects he works on, and typically stays out of the limelight unless absolutely necessary. Until his 2015 film "Moonwalkers," Grint hadn't starred in a film in six years. Now, he's made quite the career on television, like in the shows "Snatch" and "Sick Note."
The actor seems pretty happy with the way things have been since his "Harry Potter" days — Grint has worked with award-winning filmmakers such as M. Night Shyamalan in "The Servant" and Guillermo del Toro in "Cabinet of Curiosities." And despite working with massive, influential Hollywood figures throughout his career, the actor sometimes does get a little bit star-struck. When he worked with Ron Perlman (aka Hellboy) in "Moonwalkers," Grint admitted he was intimidated by the veteran actor. He didn't associate...

Lindsay Lohan is expanding on her relationship with Netflix, with a deal for two more original films in which she’ll star, the streamer announced today.
Lohan’s deal comes following her attachment to Falling for Christmas, a holiday rom-com that is slated to debut on Netflix later this year. Netflix has released the first look of Lindsay Lohan’s forthcoming Christmas rom-com, which is still untitled. Lohan has largely foregone acting in recent years, so this movie — which will stream during the holiday season next year — marks her return to the screen. In “Untitled Holiday Rom-Com,” Lohan stars opposite Chord Overstreet.
Variety exclusively broke the news of Lohan’s Netflix movie in May.
In the movie, Lohan plays a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress” (according to the logline), who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and “finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner” — that would be Overstreet — “and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
George Young, Jack Wagner and Olivia Perez are also in the cast.

Rupert Grint had some of his best experiences while portraying Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, but that isn't to say that every moment was magical. During an interview on the Armchair Expert podcast on March 8, Grint spoke with Dax Shepard about some of the more "suffocating" moments in his 10 years as the character. "There was a time where it felt quite suffocating because it was heavy going, because it was every day for 10 years in the end," Grint said. "It was a great experience, such a nice kind of family atmosphere. It was always the same crew we kind of grew up with, so it was a great place to be. But sometimes it definitely felt like, 'I want to do something else, see what else is out there.'"
At the time Grint was cast as Ron, around 2001, only four books had been published and two movies had been planned.

The comedic minds of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are reuniting for the supernatural comedy series “Truth Seekers,” the first footage of which has debuted online in conjunction with Comic-Con thanks to Amazon Prime Video. The teaser for the eight-episode series is chock full of ghost hunters, demons, haunted houses, and doodles of sodomy, which means Frost and Pegg are firing on all cylinders.
Amazon’s official synopsis for “Truth Seekers” bills the project as “a supernatural comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the U.K., sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see.” Frost stars as the leader of the paranormal investigator team, which slowly uncovers “a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.” Pegg also stars in the series alongside Samson Kayo, Malcolm McDowell, Emma D’Arcy, and Susan Wokoma.

Lindsay Lohan is making a comeback.
The former child star and tabloid magnet, now 32-years-old and living permanently in Dubai, is reinventing herself with a hospitality business in Greece. With the debut of her latest beach club in Mykonos, Lohan is making a return to the spotlight with an MTV reality show, “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club,” which premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m.
The show follows Lohan as a businesswoman and entrepreneur, and shows a new side of her: sober and serious.
The tables have turned, and now Lohan — who a decade ago was infamously sent a scathing letter from a Hollywood producer for not showing up to the set of one of her films in 2007 — is cracking the whip on her wild staff of bartenders she employs at her latest beach club, reprimanding the bunch in the first episode for having a drunken pool party when they should be prepping for work.

Sky is developing a police comedy starring Rogue One’s Daniel Mays from Broadchurch and Tin Star indie Kudos.
I hear the pay-tv giant is making a non-tx pilot, which has the working title of Code 404, written by Horrible Histories and Not Going Out writer Daniel Peak and is being co-produced by Water and Power Productions.
Directed by Ben Palmer, who previously helmed The Inbetweeners and David Mitchell and Robert Webb comedy Back, the broadcaster is currently deciding whether to take the project to full series.
The full details of the police project have been kept under wraps, but I’m told the narrative comedy has a similar tone to Charlie Brooker’s A Touch of Cloth, the spoof cop comedy that ran on Sky One in 2012. Phil Temple and Diederick Santer exec produce for Kudos and Sam Myer exec produces for Water and Power.

Lindsay Lohan has experienced a fall from grace that many child-actors have experienced in Hollywood. From a young age, the actress was headlining major movies and was one of the biggest stars in the world. Then, as an adult, she fell on hard times, with addiction and legal issues following. Since then, Lohan has struggled to get back in the entertainment industry.

Apple TV+ twisted thriller series Servant manifests from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan.
Servant marks M. Night Shyamalan’s return to television, a medium in which he last endured the 2016 cancellation of his secretly-post-apocalyptic Fox television series, Wayward Pines, after two seasons. However, Shyamalan didn’t have to wait long for his television hopes to rebound, since he subsequently closed a deal with Apple, which will provide his new thriller series a platform with its November-launching Apple TV+ streaming service.
Shyamalan’s Apple deal yielded a 10-episode straight-to-series order for Servant, teaming him with writer and executive producer Tony Basgallop, of Berlin Station, 24: Legacy, 24: Live Another Day and What Remains fame for the mystery series, described as a “psychological thriller.” Interestingly enough, Shyamalan’s Servant will distinguish itself in terms of format, since – contrary to genre convention – it will manifest as a half-hour series,...

And that includes Lindsay Lohan.

According to a recently filed tax lien, the Mean Girls star owes Uncle Sam $100,710.55 in taxes from the years 2010, 2014 and 2015.
During that time she had a role in the Danny Trejo action flick Machete and a cameo on an episode of 2 Broke Girls. She also appeared in the reality series Lindsay on Oprah Winfrey’s Own network.
The actress has been living between London and Dubai. “She’s blonde and happy and she looks good,” a friend told People earlier this month.
