I have been familiar with the growing quality of the Dreams Come True Films, company & I must say, this is the most impressive film they have made to date. I do hope that they keep making more good films like this one.
I understand that this is their first "faith based" film, even though their other films actually had a moral.
I loved, loved, loved all three of the three young leading ladies. Quality/believable performances by each of them. These girls are going to be going somewhere in this industry. Very happy with their roles.
Each individual story unfolded on their own, but skillfully intertwined with the other stories. Each girl had to walk their own path. I won't tell you what happened to any of them, but you will be surprised, I believe...I was when I had the opportunity to see it.
Can't wait to watch it again.

A MUST SEE FILM

I had the great pleasure of attending a church screening of A Second Chance. My dates were my mom and my soon to be 12 year old nephew.
The plot was simple enough. Three bad girls tangle with the law before putting their past behind them. More unique is the victum and their judge.
It could have been a story of juvenile detention, but what we have is a seemingly leniant sentence. I thought the judge was off his rocker. :)
What we see are bad girls who lack all compassion, respect or even human decency. They were more bully and thug like than simply misguided youth.
Call it faith in God or intuition, the judge trusted them to more or less find their redemption. With a little steering from above, they do just that.
From the opening fire sequence, we were all pulled into the film. My nephew was glued to the screen. I found myself thanking him for being a good kid.
As their stories unfold, you find their families are misguided. And I started to think that I may have been too harsh in my judgement of them.
From there, I will leave the heart breaking journey and emotional roller coaster to you. And it is truly both.
A film with conviction and heart

No, this film did not operate on a big budget or have nationally known talent in the film. Yes, this film has real people facing real challenges and dealing with real issues in life. You will see some really "stand out" talent, very well done cinematography, a story that communicates well the struggles people face and how they receive deliverance and hope in their lives. No one is so low that God cannot bring them up and out of the darkness. It's a really good film that the family can see and benefit from. On an added note it would also be a really good movie for youth groups to see as there are wonderful lessons that can be learned from "A Second Chance".

I cant find this movie anywere and the places I can find it do you have to pay for it even on the TV I was just wondering if there is how to watch this movie I was born and raised in Terre Haute Indiana and we need more of that around here if the movie is what I hear about.

Such a great movie...the story follows teens with real life issues, very relatable, easy to follow and at times very emotional. I Highly recommend watching this film, especially with your teens!! There are a lot of coachable moments that can be used to help your teen through real life struggles and challenges. The issues also relate to adults though and how you can best work through challenges that your teen may be having. This film is not a high budget film but is still extremely well done. The story is top notch, great directing and even though the actors are not big names they still do a great job. Check out this film!!

This is my first time with an IMDb account. I have been a long time fan of Dreams Come True Films. So I plan to review all of their films that I have seen. I am a resident of the Wabash Valley (in Indiana) where most or all of their films were produced.
Writer, Candy Beard and Director & Cinematographer Daniel Beard make an incredible team. Let's start with the drama A Second Chance. It is a fantastic film that tells the story of 3 teenage girls from the wrong side of the tracks. This film is full of twists and turns. You'll laugh and you'll cry so get your popcorn, a drink and a box of tissues and get ready to enjoy one of the best movies to come from the independent film world. Fun fact, this is a multi award winning film, and I highly recommend it.

I loved this movie it was very well written and all the actors were amazing. It has a great story and love the way that the writer included GOD in this movies. DCTF are simply the best movies. I believe this film should be seen in theaters there is a need for more movies like this nowadays. All the actors were great they did awesome work.
I'm glad I have a copy of this movie in my library. I feel that this movie should be shown to high school kids so they can make better choices.

This is a well made, award winning, independent, Christian film about three young women who, because of some trouble they got into, appear before a Judge who rather than sentence them to jail, sentenced them to perform a good deed, preferably for a stranger. The film then divulges into three stories of how each girl finds their way to our savior and their rectitude. The writing, directing, music and acting are second to none. This is a must see film for any young adult. It shows compassion. It shows that life can change with that compassion and a second chance. Show this to your children, they will thank you for it!

This movie is pretty self explanatory and life lessons are learned by many. I was thoroughly into this movie from the get go. Had my popcorn ready and never left my seat. Having been familiar with movies from DCT films, I was not disappointed at all. Great acting and directing by all. Even saw a few familiar places and faces, which was quite a hoot. This movie is a GREAT family go to and most will learn a thing or two. Families just aren't the same as back when most of us were younger. Tough love was never used back in my youth. Nowadays parents just need to stand and unite and try to make a better world for the next generation. These types of movies are a step in the right direction.

Once again the director of this movie brought issues from real life into this picture and into your home. At first I thought these girls should be in juvenile hall and receive some tough love. But instead they are left to God. To see these girls go from one extreme to another was truly very emotional. It shows the miracles God can do if you just believe and put your faith and life in to God. As always the faith in God shows that the director truly loves God and is putting the word out that all you have to do is believe. As always this directors movies are in my collection. I have shared all of them with family and friends.

Very well done. Acting , videography. Kudos. To all. Well written scripts. That had me crying and pulling for them to straighten up. Everyone deserves a second chance. This film shows what love and littje compassion will do. Must see. Thus needs to be on pure flix. Netflix. Lifetime. Hallmark. We need good films to watch. To show our children and not be ashamed. This is definitely one I proudly own and have watched numerous times. Needs to be shown in prisons. And other places I feel. Kudos to candy beard for another winner. But I feel this is my favorite by far.

Coming from challenging home situations, each of the three girls overcame the stigma of being arrested and went forward with their lives to appreciate forgiveness and learned to forgive.
Candy Beard and Daniel Beard once again prove themselves to be wonderful writers and directors.
Working with local authorities to make each scene realistic and believable just adds to the integrity of the storyline.
The cast and crew give of their talents to make this a most memorable and rewarding experience that makes all who see it appreciate the opportunity to re-do mistakes and improve the quality of life for all those around them.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find where I can watch/rent. I'm not a single parent but I'm going through things with my son so it looks like it would be a good one to watch.

I loved watching A Second Chance!!! The writing, editing, music and acting all set the stage for a wonderful movie about the power of changing our lives. A great Christian and family film!!! All teens should see this film as it shows his we all have consequences and can truly change with the right support!!! The three teens in this movie gave great performances and were able to show both sides of themselves so well and the supporting cast was great!!! This movie would be a great tool for youth groups to use!!! I loved everything about it and hope that everyone will have the opportunity to see this jewel for themselves!!!

It's hard not to find topic in this phone you can relate to. The struggles of single parenting. Teaching your teenage children to have integrity, to do the right thing even when nobody's watching. Forgiveness. What do you do when it's family members that have hurt you? Sex. Drugs. ( No Rick and roll though. 😉 )
The characters in this movie all I have one thing in common: their individuals struggles are too difficult to handle on their own. Sometimes in life you need a nudge, sometimes you need a friend, sometimes you need a parent who loves you too much than to let you make poor choices. Sometimes you need a second chance.

Here's another great film by Dreams Come True Films. I really can't get enough of their movies because the writer knows how to pull at the heartstrings of the viewers. It really does not matter if you are male or female, young or old, or somewhere in between, everybody in the audience can relate to this screenwriter. She writes real stories, raw stories, and it is so apparent that she does not shy away from hard to talk about topics.
Because I am from the Wabash Valley where these films were produced, I've pretty much seen all their movies because they make them all open to the public during premieres and screenings. They have covered such topics as domestic violence (their very first film, WOW!) They have covered child abduction, child abuse, racism, bullying, suicide and now teen delinquency with A Second Chance.
Even though this film was meant to teach a great lesson to teenagers who are out of control, there were some very precious and tender moments within this film and there were some comic relief moments as well. Every parent, IMO should sit down and watch this film with their teenagers. You won't regret it. A Second Chance is a beautiful story about second chances.

There will always be bad things that happen, but you can find the good in every situation.

In addition to being a great movie for the whole family, I thought the script was well written and the characters well-portrayed. This is a well-thought out Christian film which espouses good values. It's a rare thing these days for sure. In seeing the very real-life situations the characters find themselves in, I thought the movie was quite realistic. Additionally, I'm sure these are new actors/actresses given the film being independent, but it's clear they have a great deal of talent. All in all this film is most definitely worth a watch, particularly if you're a church family who's become wary of secular films.
